What are you using it for? Target shooting or hunting? For the distance you want to shoot you can use your 30-06 just put a good scope on it.

If he's sure the buck was hit but no blood at all...I can almost guarantee you it was shot in the belly. Any where elso you'll find lots of blood everywhere.

That's the only thing I'm not jealous about you guys that live anywhere in AZ...that here.. we have all kinds of shooting ranges...from rim fire all the way up to the 1,000 yard range! but for anything else...where I live...it sucks Ernesto C
