It was the middle of the day and they were taking a nap. The shrubs were high so I never saw them until I was there, in front of them. What appear to be the oldest dog (not in the picture) got up and came forward directly to me at a fast pace, he never slowed down and never put his head down. My first reaction was to throw the bag of doritos at them and put my quad in reverse. There were about 15 dogs in that pack. Next time I'll take some jalepenos or abaneros to throw at them. This are the only wild dogs I have seen. A bag of Doritos saved my butt; I threw the bag of doritos at them and that distracted them a little giving me enoug time to put my quad in reverse, turn and get out of there!

This past weekend had the opportunity to enjoy family and God's creations...it was fun Wife and kids saying hi to all the coues whitetail family Peacefull beaches And not so peacefull places too. I was attacked once by a fox while predator calling. She came tigth to my left, she never saw me and when I saw her we were practically face to face!! She raised her hair open her mouth wide and growled(sp) loud and jumped on me!!..................but thank God, I was able to keep her away with the bipod and the barrel of my rifle. Once I managed to got up, she ran about 20 yards and my friend shot her. It was 100% pure adrenaline and exciment Ernesto C

If we dont camp out, we usually stay at the hotel right next to "Las Conchas" Have you ever tried fishing there Stanley? Fishing is good, how about all those miles of quad trails? have you ever ride on them? Next time you go there Stanley let me know, maybe we can go together and have fun. Ernesto C

Keep praying, have faith but do not let the problems steal your peace. Leave the problems to God and put Scott on God's hands. Scott needs to accept the Lord in his heart to be set free. I agree with SHOOTER, coyotes are taking care or their pups now and they are not very responsive to the calls. Also right now and for now on until it gets cold again, food is more abundant or available to them that when it gets cold so with a full belly is hard to call them since they are not that hungry anymore. It is important that when you call always keep the wind in your face. Another thing is that if you want to call this time of the year is best to call the north side of the hills or mountains since they are cooler than the southside; that's where the coyotes will be specially if they have pups.
