Great luck - congrats!!

I've been all over Unite 22 around Mount Ord and Black Ridge during coues season and earlier this year south of HW188 off the 87. I've only seen sign off the 188 near Pumpkin Center.
Area around Four Peaks, Lake Saguaro and Sycamore Creek there was a little sign but it was out weighted by the yahoos on atv's and modern mulisha chumps shooting trash in the desert.
Just wondering if I'm missing any spots to hunt. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have a 6.5 grendel . Its a 18" mid length Black Hole Weaponry 264 LBC, MEGA slick side-charging upper with Young bolt carrier. I shook 120 gr Bergers or 100 to 120 gr Barns through it using 8202 XBR. You will nee the adjustable gas block and with have to play with the buffer weight. I set mine up with an A2 but-stock and hand no issues - then I put it on a carbine lower and when through alot of trouble shooting changing the gas block and finally the buffer. A light buffer will cause the bolt to mover back too quick and cause failures to extract.
My son have used the grendel an a mule deer. 120 gr barns - it took tow rounds to seal the deal. most of it was bullet placement.
PM me and we can talk

Nice work. I'm 0 for 5 in 35A.

I have a Harris - it works but is a bit bulky. If i had to do it again, I'd get a snipe pod https://snipepod.com/index2.html
My hunting partner has one and I'm always jealous.

My son got that hunt 2 years in a row... We got our deer around the burn area as you head towards the north rim.
In my opinion it's the best hunt opportunity for youngsters. We also saw a few coyotes. - so bring yourself a rifle.

Scout for elk and bring the bow. I find that dumb luck is the best while hunting.

We have 4 tags to fill - I'll try the southern part of 22 this weekend. Lots of flats near Four Peaks and Saguaro Lake. Too busy this weekend to hit the Roosevelt area. Good luck all and be safe.
