Tips for finding bucks in 36B
bigbuckfever replied to norm555's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I went to 30b to scout this weekend. In one canyon, I spotted three bucks and 5 does like I knew what I was doing. Went to what looked like a better hillside to glass and spent hours seeing nothing, then, out of nowhere, there was a buck. I had covered that spot soooo many times and didn't see him until I was just about ready to give up on the area. That's part of the joy/frustration of glassing for Coues. I love it. -
Best wishes to ya.

Big congratulations and thanks for sharing. There are a lot of us who love the stories.

Mmmmmh, intestine flavored ice cream, my favorite.

Pm'ed my application for your new best friend, just in case you're needing company on your next outing. Nice bucks, hope you can make it work for either your daughters or yourself. Thanks for sharing.

Good job sticking with it. Nice bull.

Don't know if I could have passed on any of those bulls you have on film that were that close. My bow would have pulled and released without my being able to stop it. Congrats to your buddy, sounds like you two had a great time.

I've heard that white gas lanterns work better for trailing blood in the dark. The blood kinda glows with it. Worth a try if nothing else is working Best of luck.

Congrats on a nice bull. Sounds like you had a blast.

Very nice. Congrats

Look up the units on line and start driving some roads to check out the terrain. Get some decent binoculars and start glassing the hills. Once you spot your first animal, you just might get hooked.

"How would you control humans? What would you allow them to do? What would you not allow them to do?" A recent "community organizer" has been and is still trying to do just this. He started by trying to control the peoples heath care. Once you control that, you got em by the short hairs and they bend easier to your will in other areas. Forget the cows, now we're talking about sheep. Not a fan.

Congrats and thanks for sharing the story with those of us that don't get to go this year.

Not bagging on ya, like I said, just jealous. I really do hope you get what you're looking for. Let us hear the story too. -

You've gotten three calls from AZGFD for surrendered tags? Holy crap, congrats and I hope you get what floats your boat. (Said in a completely jealous voice) -

I decided to take my quad down to the bottom corner of my 5 acres in Young one day. I made it down just fine and found the corner of the barbed wire fence. I ran into problems when I tried to turn it around on a pretty steep slope and it rolled over on me. pinning me to the barbed wire fence, with the quad resting on top of me. I had to push it uphill and off me. Couldn't do it the first attempt and in an adrenalin filled 2nd attempt gave it all I could and was barely able to get free. When you're scared , it's amazing what you're capable of. I'm not as adventurous these days.
