    Tikka 22-250

Please send offers via PM. I am looking to sell my Tikka T3 22-250. Its blued synthetic stock. 29 shots down the tube. Selling since I added another 22-250 to the fold when I snagged the encore. Would like to get $500.00 for it on a FTF sale. The rifle has a vari-xII 3-9x40. I can add it for $150.00. Not for sale on its own though. Gun standard disclaimer. Must be 18, Az resident, allowed to own/posses guns. Not looking for much trade wise. Will entertain rifle scopes, a 209X50 muzzleloader barrel for the encore, or other encore/prohunter goodies.

    Do really need 20 Stickys?

I don't either! I can't imagine trying to read this forum without View New Content. There are just way too many posts everyday to try and scroll through each subforum. Its easy. I only check the forums I care to read. On my phone it shows when the last post was in each topic.
  7. Wow I didn't think .243 could be hard to find. Throughout the crunch its been on the shelves with 7-08. I hear a good excuse for a Cabelas trip in your future.

Mine hasn't had enough rounds to say how good it shoots. I got half way through my load development and then the heat and fire restrictions moved in. Mine was mid 500's with taxes from sportsmans warehouse. I really like it, but acquired another 22-250.

The classified ads there have a minimum post requirement. So you have to have the posts for a link to do you any good. I have a 22-250 tikka I may be willing to part with, if you aren't set on .223 that is. Mine is the plain jane model though. The one on azshooting is also a 22-250. He wants 875.00 with vortex scope says its on backpage as well.

Brunos in north Phoenix had h4831 for $34.95 per pound. Had too many bergers for me to know what they had.

    36A Late November

36a is not good for late November hunt. You are the 7th hunt in the unit. Had the hunt last year and it sucked. Deer numbers overall were down. I saw as many deer in 5 days last year as I once saw in a day. 3 bucks total. I have hunted the 36s for years it has had too much pressure with the new hunt dates. You have a jr hunt, first whitetail, first mule deer, second whitetail, second mule deer, third whitetail, jr hunt #2 and finally December. Game and Fish have worn that unit out.
  16. I have and have had a mixed bag. Optical clarity goes hands down to Nightforce, but for the price it had better. I don't know about the heavy as a club part, but its rugged and tanks aren't made out of cotton candy. I like the warranty of if you can break we want to see it and will fix it. They are known for dials that return and are true, a big desire of anyone who plays the dials game. I like my Leupolds and for a number of years only had vari-xII in 3-9x40 otherwise known as the $220.00 scope. Shot out to 5 and 600 yards with a little bit of practice and was confident to kill game at that range. I like the Mark 4 and it replaced one of the vari-xII's. The warranty on Leupold is awesome as well, just had a 25 year old scope that we sent in for warranty work. They took care of it for us. Lost a cap from the Mark AR, and called them, got a free replacement. I am a huge fanboy of Leupold for their warranty. I have also used the Burris Fullfield 2, they work, but I don't really like the clutter of the ballisticplex type reticles, and tend to use the wrong pin in the heat of the moment. It was good glass quality for the price. Never messed with their warranty as I haven't had the need. I got the first Vortex for my wife's rifle, and I think I'm spoiled by the better glass I have. It is good glass don't get me wrong, but it gets dark a lot faster. I think it may be the 44 objective though. Vortex has a no questions asked warranty, which is good, but I haven't tested them either. No experience on the Zeiss scopes, but I know when they first came out with the conquest line there was a lot of rumblings from sellers of I don't know where this glass comes from, but it isn't Zeiss. Guess we were all spoiled to the Classic line of glass from them. I know a few folks on here like them a lot (Casey) same as Vortex.

Off road travel to retrieve Big Game

Like most things this will have polar answers. I'm on the side of no off road vehicle travel. Use a pack animal if you need help. August bears are the main culprit for "meat loss" from what I've heard. I've never seen meat loss on anything. Its amazing what skinning and hanging does.
  18. I have a hit. Looks like carp in 36b for my family. Put in for both hunts so who knows.

    2013 draw results ?

TJ you have to update the cc number, which you said you did. You are good. If you didn't update the number with g&f do it now. The new number will be the number they need to charge. I got hosed on the elk/lope draw in 12 because I got a new card and my old number was on the app.

    Yarnell Hills Fire

Either way haven't seen as much support from those of us who wear blue or brown for a hose dragger type in awhile. Just want to add for those less in tune the love between those in law enforcement and the firefighters is a lot more than we let on.

    Some 36B basic questions

I say if anyone gets eaten by a lion its on them for having their head rectally inserted. So split the stuff. Snakes are a guarantee. Chiggers maybe, depending on elevation. Mosquitoes not likely. I'm sure green valley or sauherita will produce dry ice. For the parking, next to a border patrol station would be a safe bet...its hit or miss on having your things messed with. In 40 some years counting my dads time we've lost one lantern to a thief. As I said on a different post you made, be aware of the illegals. It's a given they are there, the only worry should be smugglers. They will be armed. My butcher refuses to hunt the 36s because he had smugglers in his camp. The closer to Mexico the higher potential. My wife already knows, verizon works well most everywhere down there. Again its TUCSON :-) Packing in a shotgun for quail and a rifle for deer? Seems like a waste. Hunt deer don't worry about quail.
