I agree 100%..... That being said I almost always hunt sunup to sundown on all my hunts. When I have a full or bright moon I pay much more attention to the solunar table. I just kind of go by the thinking that you have to make your own luck. Deer are unpredictable creatures so the harder you hunt more you glass the better chance you will have. And I have also learned to not neglect spots that Coues are not supposed to be in.

Thats great. And you need to be commended as well for taking out your son and his friend. Some people would not do that or just take out their son. I like how they talked you into going after the buck. I bet you wont forget their first deer either

Ouch.....this is the first loosing season in the last four or five. A little harsh don't you think. And for some objectivity this is ASU's fist good year in what the last four. So I guess you can say they have a program THIS year. and no shame in loosing to Oregon tonight.

OUCH.......tough loss today.

This is exactly the truth. No excuses here, they just plain suck this year. Maybe this mid year firing is the UA finally realizing they have to be serious about the program for it to succeed. Even still I would rather be a losing Wildcat than a Sun Devil whining about the days when Frank Kush was still coaching. At least the Sun Devils fans have something to whine about. Northern Nogales Tech on the other hand? Who's whining I'm not whining. Believe me I have been a Cat fan long enough to know exactly what our football program is. I find I more than a little ironic that we have a ASU grad as our new AD trying to turn UofA's football program around. Sense day one one the job he made no bones about the football program being among his top priority's. He personally went on a money raising campaign for facilities upgrades that includes a 50 million dollar north endzone project that includes dedicated football offices, state of the art training facilities and locker room along with stadium improvements. The man is stone cold serious about turning this program around. And as a life long Wildcat fan it is refreshing to finally see our AD doing the things needed to have a real football program. And hes doing all this not because he is a football fan but because he knows he must for the overall health of the athletic department. The hire of the new football coach will define his carrier here at UofA and he knows it......

And his time has come. Goodbye Mike Stoops all the best.

I was wondering when this thread would be started No excuses from this Cat fan though. The team is just plain bad. Terrible really. And yes it is time for Stoops to move on. As a wildcat fan I appreciate what he has done for the program. He took over a disaster and put in a ton of hard work and effort to bring them back to some sort respectability. He runs a clean program and had some nice seasons. The only thing I will say is that all of this is not on Stoops. If UofA ever wants a have a good football program the powers that be must get serious about the football program. They must build a solid infrastructure, improve on facilities (already under way), and pay for a good coach and a staff to support him. There is a reason Arizona has hovered around mediocrity its entire existences and its not all on the coaches (excluding Wacovick). Just as in business you can have a great employee but if the company does not provide that employee with the tools to be productive eventually that employee will fail. Support structure is key. And Arizona football coaches have not had that.

Davis Monthan is on lockdown. Not to much info as to why yet. Just some rumors about a possible shooter but not a shooting. DM is just saying a security risk. Hope everyone is okay and no innocent people are harmed.

Base officials say no shots fired and no injuries. They just had reports of a suspicious person that looked like they had a weapon. The ambulances that were going in and out of the base was for a woman that went into labor.

Really Biker? I mean we are talking about a collision with a multi thousand ton train and a very small and light (in comparison to the train) SUV. When any type of collision between a train and vehicle occurs the outcome is very bleak for the people in the vehicle. My Dad has worked for the Railroad as a engineer for over 40 years and he can tell you horror stories of what happens when ANY sort of collision like this happen. Right know our thoughts and prayers should be with the two agents that lost their life just doing their jobs and their family. How exactly it happened SHOULD be a after thought at this moment IMO.

I have not watched any news yet today and I don't doubt your post at all. But if what your saying is true the media should and BETTER have a field day with this. Just unreal......not that anyone should be surprised.

^^^ I agree with all of this!!!!! To me I don't see all the hub bub over it. Ya its great and all but IMO it was only a matter of time because of the great people that Brian mentioned. My Nephew is in Afghanistan right now.........and this is a victory for the intelligence agencies and special forces. Not the politicians or even so much the ground troops (as my nephew is). But for the boys and girls in the CIA and or FBI and special forces that have been working on this for years it is a big win!!!

Thats hilarious!!!!! Thanks, but I find little to be jocular about concerning who and what resides in the White House. Oh I am with you. Who is in the White House is not laughing matter. However that Kenyon Village Idiot comment was funny.

This is something my family has been doing for ages. We have always done all our own butchering. And for anyone that has processed their own game meat can attest to there is always meat that you cant get off all the bones. So what we have always done is cut the bones down so they can fit in a pressure cooker. We have a few pressure cookers in different sizes. Usually with a Coues we can fit all the bones in a large cooker. Then fill it about half way full with water and pressure cook it for around 45 minutes. Once its done let the bones cool for a few minuets and then you can just pull all that meat right off the bones. We have always been as careful as we can to get as much fat and connective tissue from the meat as you can. What you are left with is the best shredded venison one could ask for. From there the possibilities are endless. You can add barbecue sauce for barbecue sandwiches. Or our favorite is it makes the best burrito/tamale/taco meat. Just add in the seasonings and or chilies you would like and your set. The best part is it is already cooked so it makes for a quick fix meal that you can go in any direction with.
