    .22 LR

Seems like the stores are not getting the amount and selection they use to get. You used to be able to walk into walmart and there would be a huge selection of different .22 ammo. And plenty of it as well. Now when they get their shipment it is just a few kinds and not a lot of quantity. So that doesnt seem like a horder issue to me. Even the guys at Walmart and Sportsmans say they gett all they can but they just cant order as much as they used to be able to. Just my obsorvation and what I have been told.

    Rooster Sauce

Alright most of us on this sight live in the Southwest and the ones that don't are familiar with the food and great hot sauces. This is not a normal hot sauce you usually find in our restaurants. But if you have ever eaten Chinese I am sure you have tried it or at leased seen it. Its actually called Sriracha but Rooster sounded like a better thread title So for those that have tried this stuff what do you like it on. And for those that haven't do yourself a favor and get some. And sense we are on the topic what other hot sauces do you guys douse your food in. (sorry having trouble uploading the pic or else I would have one)

Interesting situation developing in college football

Patterson will not be making the hire if Brown is replaced. That is not how things work at UT. Also Texas is the best job in college football. Well best in a lot of ways I should say. As in deepest recruiting grounds, top notch facilities, more money than ANY program in the Country and I could go on. They are the most powerful football program in the country and it ain't close. And I'm no UT fan by the way. But that job is not for anyone. That being said there is ZERO chance Graham gets that job. And I think he has done a fine job at ASU.

    Over Scoring

I was fishing at Big Lake a few years back and caught the biggest Trout I had ever caught. I don't know what the thing weighed but it must have been a lot because when I got the picture of the fish back the picture weighed 5 pounds

    You be the judge

Ha. I like that and agree. I took my nephews gun from him (264 win mag) and all three lined up as I covered my nephews and my brothers exit. I think military because of the spacing when they walked. I was not going to go into to much background but here are a couple more details. There were two of the normal borders crossers/drug smugglers to the southeast of these guys that may have been the hunted. And it is possible it's smugglers because the guy in the vest has something under his arm. But it is also could be something else because we were to the south and east of them and they caught up to us eventough they were past us (happenstance or not). One more detail is we heard multiple gun fire about an hour earlier from this area. They guy in the vest is a badass. Why do you say this?

    Need some help?

No I don't know him but my dad may. My dad just retired form the railroad this August. He worked for them for 44 years I think it was. My dad was a engineer so depending on what Gordon did for the railroad there is a good chance he may know him. I will talk to my dad tonight or tomorrow and see what he can remember lol.

    WOW

Why are you ASU fans so proud of a team that has been put on sanctions for cheating? At any rate congrats to the Devils I guess........Barry Bonds must be proud!!!!!

    WOW

Most of them are Millers recruits yes. Chris Mack Xavier's coach was on Millers staff when he was the head coach at Xavier and took over when Miller left for Arizona. Miller is very happy those kids and for Chris Mack who he is still good friends with.
  13. desertdog

    WOW

Miller is not going anywhere.Absolutelyey ZERO chance. Just the thought is laughable. Ilini is not close to the basketball program Arizona is by the way.

dog - maybe you can enlighten me on your affiliation with nogales north. do you work there? kids go to school there? do you buy season tickets? do you know where the campus is? Devil maybe you can enlighten me as to why you think that only people with an affiliation to a university can be a fan of said university? Do I work there - No but my Mother in law does.......but that has no baring on me being a fan of UofA Kids go to school there - Maybe someday Do I buy season tickets - Nope cant afford it (I would rather spend my money on hunting activities for me and my kids) Do I know where the campus is - Short answer yes of course I do My question to you is......Just because I never went to school at UofA or bought season tickets or so on, why does that mean I am not a real fan or have no business being a fan of UofA? NOPE - I would rather you just stick a sock in it. Seriously though, I don't care if you root for timbucktooU, just don't bash on me and MY school, the school I graduated from when you have ZERO affiliation with "your" school. Maybe we can get Amanda to "pin" this thread and we could just have one great, big, long thread of ASU vs nogales north. This is a joke Devil. You start these crap talking threads and then get your panties in a bunch when Cat fans call you out or challenge your your idiotic posts. If these threads are such a wast of your time then don't start the darn things you genius. And I'm sorry if I don't match your criteria of what a "real" fan is .But when it comes to that you sir can stick a sock in it. I don't give a you know what if you feel I'm not worthy of being a fan of the UofA. And I will never ask for your permission or EVER explain myself to you. If you cant take it don't dish it out.

I'm not celebrating yet. Cats need one more to make it to the dance. The Cats were very lucky OSU beat Washington yesterday or else they probably would have lost tonight. But that is how it goes in these tournaments. Lets go Cats one more win. Not that I am a real UofA fan because I didn't go to school there right Sundevil
  17. desertdog

    WOW

Who said it doesn't count? All the Cat fans said that that loss will more than likely will keep the UofA out of the tournament. Besides the Cats are still playing in the Pac-12 tournament. The ASU loss is old news. Cats had a good win against UCLA tonight. Bring on Oregon ST. Time to pound the Beaver.
  18. desertdog

    WOW

Again its not irrelevant that ASU won. It was a great win for the ASU basketball program. The irrelevant part is the ASU basketball program as a whole. Great win for ASU..........Very embarrassing loss for the Cats.

    WOW

knocking another team into the NIT is irrellevant? I wonder if miller would agree with that assessment? one could make a very strong case for the same word being used for the football team in Tucson. and here I thought stoops wasn't coaching in Tucson anymore. No being knocked into the NIT is not irrelevant. (as most likely the Cats were with this loss) But being 10-20 on the season is. (ASU's record this year) Hey I'm not going to talk smack here. ASU wanted this game more and kicked the Cats buts on Sunday. Thats how sports works and rivalry's go. UofA is still the dominate Basketball program period. Hats off to ASU for a well played game.

    question

I know that back in the 90's some of the cattle dirt tanks in 36c had catfish im them. They were over run in fact. You could throw your hook in with almost anything on it and as soon as it hit the water they would hit it.

    What Happened to Gino's thread

Desertdog I was not surprised by his not wanting to answer many legit questions on that thread, I also know that he read them, since he was on and replying to others not long after I submitted a couple of them. If you look through his various threads and not just on this forum he seems to like to throw out insults and names often before the conversation gets heated. I have done my share of making sarcastic and witty statements as well as stating things some may consider rude or insults, but usually I like to look outside the box and see the bigger picture, hence asking the questions. Gino chose not to answer the questions and tried a generic answer for them all when he stated and I am paraphrasing (this is not about the laws it is about ethics and respect). Now, we all think many laws are BS but the majority buck up and follow them anyway. I believe that Ethics and respect in our hunting community is just as much about what Gino stated as it is that we all respect the laws as well. If 10% choose not to follow the same rules as the other 90% how is that being ethical and respecting your peers? The same peers that you want respect from. These were the answers I was trying to get from Gino, but knew I never would. I will not PM him, since I know he read what I asked, and he can choose to let me know his perspective if he chooses. I have no ill feeling for Gino, and From what I have seen and read he is a heck of a hunter and has a passion that myself and most do respect. However, I find it hard to have a genuine like for people who seem so self absorbed that they can not step outside their little box and try to see things from a different perspective. Gino, may have been right about the guy, but there may be more to his behaviors than being a lazy poacher, and maybe it has to do with what he perceives as some not following the same rules he does. The fact that the thread was nuked with so many valid statements and questions unanswered does not agree with me. I also think that by doing that to a thread is a slap to the face to those of us that asked legitimate questions. My questions were more directed for anyone reading the thread to answer not just Gino. But I get what your sayin.
  22. desertdog

    What Happened to Gino's thread

No there was a ton of questions asked in that thread that were never answered. It was kind of like a if you don't agree with me I will not answer you're question type of deal. It was real annoying. I mean Sundevil and I asked some real good questions and nobody seemed to care or WANT to answer........ So just what the the heck is going on???? There is no place for name calling or threatening at all. But when straight forward questions are asked and no answers given it just makes you wonder why.

    private property

I love these debates when they are being discussed here. It really is a interesting topic IMO. I have seen it and lived it from both sides. A lot of land owners a jerks period. A lot of hunters a jerks period. It truly goes both ways. Yes the hunter has responsibility to know if they are on private land or not. But the land owner has just as much responsibility to keep there land posted. For example my best friend (he is like my brother) and his family have a good sized ranch here in Arizona. Its something like 60 sections. A few years back I was hunting Coues with him and his brother in law on his private property. We had glassed up a nice buck and the buck moved over the ridge. We were working our way toward the buck hoping his brother in law could get a shot at him. Before we could get to him we heard a shot from the side of the ridge the buck moved to. We toped the ridge and saw two hunters that killed the buck we were after. We walked over to them and talked to them a little. My friend informed them that they were on private property but he also told them that HIS land was not properly marked so not to worry. He just told them as a poin of information. He told them that if he and his family really wanted to keep hunters out they should have their land properly posted. He shook the hunters hands congratulated them on their kill and we all went on about our way. My friend could have been a jerk and raised all kinds of heck about them being there and all that. But the way he looked at it was if he really didn't want people on their land he and his family needed to do their part first and post their land to the letter of the law......period. In my opinion it all comes down to personal responsibility.
