We found a gun on our Mulie hunt

The easiest way, and probably the only way is to go through your local police. Like I mentioned earlier, the firearm may be reported lost already. So, I would turn it in. When the police run the serial number, they will know. If already reported they can get it back to the owner. If not reported, they will hold it and hopefully the owner will make a police report. If they do not make a police report, eventually the BATF will identify the owner. The BATF will then contact the agency that is holding the gun and have them contact the owner. The BATF will not do anything unless it goes through the local guys.
  2. I've been checking out this site on a weekly, well....maybe daily, hmmm ok....HOURLY basis for a couple of years now. It's great! Heres a big THANKS to all of you. Your post and pics are always informative and entertaining; and alot of what I read on this site I take to the field with me. Well, my brother and I had a great deer hunt this year. He did all the scouting and I just showed up to hunt . Pretty great hun. Actually, he DID do all the scouting and I owe him a big THANKS as well. I had two goals for this hunt: 1.) help my brother fill his tag with his first coues and 2.) for me to shoot something bigger then I had shot previously. What a success!! I filled my tag on the second day of the hunt and he filled his on the third. This is my first time posting, so hopefully the pictures come out okay.

New to forum / 2008 success

These deer were taken in Unit 22 and less then 300 yards from each other. We only saw about six bucks over the three days we hunted. Of those six, three were shooters.
