I had the same tent for around 12 years. Loved it, especially when it was cold enough to use the wood stove. Very comfortable living quarters for extended hunts. The vestibule is really nice for extra gear. I reluctantly sold mine when I got a toyhauler. Good luck. I hope it finds a good home.

Turret Press Questions and Insights
Viper replied to IA Born's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I have a Lee Classic Turret press. It works great for 9mm and .40 cal. I started loading pistol on my RCBS RC, but that was way to tedious. The Lee has cut my loading time down considerably. I like the Lee due to it being a "hands on" system and I can QA as I go. I still prefer the single stage for rifle. -
Looking for magpro and 180 berger grain vld’s in .284 “7mm”
Viper replied to Coues120's topic in Classified Ads
I have 4 pounds of Magpro, unopened. East Mesa. I see Scheels has it for $49/lb. I'll take $40/lb. -
Take a look at Red Hawk Rifles. They have reduced prices on "demo" optics, brand new condition with full warranty. I bought my demo Zeiss rifle scope from them for about $300 less than retail. Not one mark on them. I see they have a Zeiss 10x40 SFL for $1200. They also have the Terra model for $300. Not sure how those stack up. https://redhawkrifles.com/demo-optics/

I love the scope. A lot of bang for the buck. Great glass, nice zero stop, usable reticle.

Check out Red Hawk Rifles. They often have deals on demos that are new, just taken out of the box for show. I got a Zeiss V4 4-16x50 with illuminated reticle for $800. https://redhawkrifles.com/demo-optics/

Hunting 36B in the Arivaca Lake area, late Nov. Covering tons of country from Ruby Rd to the border. Hunting with a friend that has hunted the area for 30 years and knows all the places to hunt. We are glassing 30 to 40 deer a day...all does and fawns. We did get on a decent buck this morning, but gave us the slip. Border Patrol officer we spoke to said it's a weird year. Said his theory is, since illegal activity is way down, the bucks aren't getting pushed out of the canyons. Plenty of food and water so they stay put. Makes sense. Any experience...theories?

I noticed last night that Scheels is carrying this now. I bought it "pick up in store" last night. Picked it up this morning. They had one left in inventory...fyi.

We're camped on Arivaca Lake rd. About a mile before the lake. 2 5th wheel toyhaulers.
-
You down here now, Tony?
-
I agree. Seeing the same thing in 22.

We're hunting near arivaca lake. Joined a friend who has hunted the area for several years. It appears they haven't had much rain here.

Congrats! Hunting with kids is fun and very rewarding. Good job! I'll be heading down to 36b tomorrow for the after Thanksgiving hunt. The reports are not very encouraging. Sure beats working though.

What is the price?

Great story! Well worded...I felt I was there. Awesome ram! Congrats.

That's not good to hear! My 36B hunt starts the 28th. We plan to hunt around Arivaca Lake.

I'm interested in a rangefinder pouch, if my RF will fit. Do you get into Mesa much? I'm in E. Mesa and can meet half way.
-
Those are some instant kills! What bullet are you using? High shoulder shots?

I got an archery pig tag.
