Another option....rent. REI rents backpacking equipment for pretty cheap. It's a way to try before you buy.

REI is having a closeout sale.

Best Frame Pack For A Backpack Mule deer hunt
Viper replied to Coues Archer's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
I have the older Outdoorsman pack. I've packed out 50 - 60 lbs with it. Great pack. Very adjustable. But it's 7+ lbs and I have trouble keeping it on my narrow hips. Maybe if I tried their lumbar attachment it would be better. Also it feels kind of big on a skinny guy. I went to the Kuiu 3200 last year. Love this pack! I packed out 85 lbs over very rough country and rode great. No soreness the next day. I smile each time I put it on. I also got the 5200 bag for backpacking but haven't used it yet. I did an overnighter with the 3200 and it was pretty stuffed full. I've also used the Kelty Cache Hauler frame. Very good support, and comfortable, but I find the solid aluminum frames to restrictive...like your back is in a splint. The flexible carbon composite frames are the way to go. I have no experience with the expensive packs mentioned above, but I think the best bang for your buck is Kuiu...barely edging out Outdoorsman -
Cut it off to get it out of the way, and use your middle finger. It's an ELK TAG!

Wow! Spectacular! Awesome job

Mine did something like that in 2005, one year after I bought it new. Covered by waranty...but I think there was a recall.

I am about to drop DirectTV. I am also interested in options. All I need to get is Dbacks games, Cardinals games, and a few hunting shows like Western Hunter and Meat Eater, which is on Netflix now. Oh yeah...I still watch Seinfeld at night, even though I've seen each episode 8 times.

I've used it on a much smaller lot. Worked great. The dog learns the boundary REAL quick.

^^ Yup...all around Picket Post and south into the higher elevations. I've also seen them in the flat/rolling hills near Oracle...Black Hills, I think it's called, but limited numbers. You probably don't want to be too picky about size.

I just bought the straight version a few weeks ago. Great scope!

Nice job! Looks like great antler growth this year.

I guess I didn't realize it is only 1st and 2nd choice odds.

Not sure how I could not be drawn with these backup choices...unless something screwed up with the bank. 3. 22 Nov WT 68% draw odds 4. 24B early Dec WT 83% draw odds 5. 24B Nov WT 100% draw odds I can't be too disappointed, I drew a Dec tag last season with the two standard BP's. I just focus more on archery.

There is still a glimmer of hope

It's hard to pick a "best buck". Each one was a unique adventure. 2011 2013 2016 (not mounted yet)

Does this model have the angle compensation?
