Great buck! More pics at different angles please. Did you measure him?

Can anyone recommend a good Android shot timer app for my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone? I'm OK with paying a few bucks to download it. It would be great if it works with dry fire as well. Thanks
-
No input? Do any of you use a shot timer with your firearms training? I thought it a good alternative to paying $100 for a stand alone shot timer, but maybe the phone apps are not any good.

I have a blowgun I bought several years ago. I'll have to try to find darts for it. Where can you buy just darts?

A friend had a full size slate pool table upstairs....no problem. Check with the builder, if the house isn't very old.

Very nice goat!! Congrats!

I sent my 12x50 Trinovids in last year for a focus issue. 10 years old. I provided proof of purchase ....no charge. It took around 5 weeks. I think Leica is pretty stingy with warranty repairs.

Wow!! Very cool experience!

I use a ballistic-plex reticle, but this is a ballistic-complex reticle...holy cow!

We did a road trip in August 2005 that took us through WA and OR. I couldn't believe all the Blackberries...the size of your thumb!! ...and nobody picking them!! We played the obvious tourist and pulled off the road every chance we got to refill our cups. What a treat! Also hit the Huckleberry season in Montana...Huckleberry beer, wine, ice cream....great stuff!

I find the raspberries on top of the Rim on open hillsides and ridgetops, in the old burn areas (Dude fire I presume) where they get plenty of sun. From what I read in this post, it sounds like the blackberries are in the canyon/creek bottoms. That's interesting.

This is a representative picture of what we picked. Picture of blackberries

hoghntr, your's definitely look like blackberries. I'll be darn....I have never come across them in AZ. I picked a lot of blackberries in the mid-west when I was a kid. We've been picking AZ raspberries for several years. There are huge patches in the old burn areas along the Rim road, mostly west end.

We picked raspberries. I'm not aware of native blackberries in AZ. The AZ raspberries turn from red to dark purple when ripe, so they are often called blackberries...there is a difference.

You can make a dang big cooler with sleeping bags, blankets and a tarp. I put a couple layers of blanket or a sleeping bag down first, then put 1/2 the tarp down. Put the meat/quarters on the tarp with bags of ice or frozen bottles in and around the meat. Wrap the other 1/2 of the tarp over the meat. Pile on blankets/sleeping bags. The tarp will contain melting ice and blood, while locking in the cold. The blankets/bags insulate the cool meat. This is less effective in an open truck bed, but works great inside a camper shell or SUV.

Good looking goats. What part of NM is this? Any other land owner related costs/fees?

Good price on a great machine!

My wood grip on my Drenlin creeks on the first draw. Would this solve that?

Nothing yet at Val Vista and Southern

I have this bino....love 'em. Never get tired of glassing with these.

I wear the low-cut Meindl Perfekt Hiker. Great support for AZ hunting/hiking. They vent heat from my feet better than hightops, and hold up very well. Most support is in the foot bed, not so much in the height. I wear a lightweight, short gaiter from REI to keep debris out. Not always needed if the pants are long enough.

They are actually raspberries...dark purple when ripe. There are huge patches on the rim in the old burn areas. If you drive the Rim road (300) from the 87 side, you will find them once you get into the old burn areas. There is a huge one at the 300 - 95 junction, on the rim edge.
-
Not sure...season might be a little earlier at lower elevations. It's not that far a drive to find out.

I know that on the Rim, the season is the last week of July through August. Should be a good year.
