Yes. The cooktop drops into the countertop (zoom in on picture). Both were hard wired together in the junction box.

I'm curious what is your method to polish/remove a bur in the rifle chamber? It is leaving a slight scuff and scratch on the shoulder of the casing.

Chamber polishing method to remove a bur?
Viper replied to Viper's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Exactly!! I took it to Todd South and that was his consensus. He bore scoped it and didn't see anything that would cause that. He demonstrated with an unattached action how the brass hits the side of the ejection port when extracted. I checked my 1x fired brass, pre-tumbled, and found the same marks. I guess I was going down a rabbit trail for nothing Lol. -

Congrats! Really nice buck! I was at Todd's shop today and he told me all about it. He is a really nice guy. -
May be a long shot. Anyone here in the Phoenix area have the corrected reamer (.535") that fixes the tight chamber issue with reloads?...that would not mind sharing/renting it to me. Or a good smith I can take my rifle to, that is familiar with this issue? If you are not familiar with this issue, there is a long thread on Long Range Only: https://www.longrangeonly.com/forum/threads/6-5-prc-dies-not-sizing-enough.6782/

6.5 PRC tight chamber reamer fix?
Viper replied to Viper's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Update: I used the reamer myself. The extended T-handle made it easy to do by hand with the action attached. It only took a couple turns. Now to find time to shoot amd see if it made a difference. -
6.5 PRC tight chamber reamer fix?
Viper replied to Viper's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
It is Hornady brass from factory ammo. That's all I have. -
...as of 1:30 today. $320. A lot of other powders too. No primers.

Sorry, I did not notice.

Do you think it would fit under an airplane seat as a carry on personal item? Or a little too tall?

The Kuiu Venture 1800 is 25% off now, for $140. I think the sale ends at midnight. I'm trying to talk myself into another pack 😁

Thanks! I might chicken out on trying this myself, and have him do it. -
6.5 PRC tight chamber reamer fix?
Viper replied to Viper's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
No, I haven't tried that. I have them. That's just pushing the brass further into the die, right? It seems it would bump the shoulders more/too much. The guys on LRO tried custom dies and modifying dies. The conclusion is that it is a chamber tolerance issue and the correct fix is a corrected reamer. I start seeing it on the 3rd firing. I am "renting" a reamer from a LRO member. I should get it by end of the week. I've never done this before so it should be interesting. -

I have an opportunity to go on my nephew's Idaho backpack bear hunt in a few weeks. I will fly to Seattle to start our trip. Question is, what is the best way to travel with a large backpack with gear? I have a Kuiu 5200 and typical backpacking gear. Not sure I want to check it as baggage. May get all beat up, broken straps/buckles... Is it too big to be a carry on? Maybe break it down and pack in a suitcase? Definitely would want to "carry on" my binos and spotting scope. How do you all do it? Thoughts? Thanks

Flying with a large hunting backpack? How do you do it?
Viper replied to Viper's topic in The Campfire
Follow up: I packed my Kuiu 5200 in a large suitcase with all my backpacking gear. Binos and a few other items were in a carryon.
