Try some gun oil and fine steel wool. As bill said, be sure to remove the stock and look at all the places rust can hide.

It is nice to see the dad do this the right way; training, practice and a quality distance gun. Too many times kids are allowed to fling lead. Congratulations to both!

Great buck. The stollen camera really sucks. It's unfortunate, but stolen cameras are more common than bucks like that one. Too bad you did not get up their in January. If you were too busy, I could have helped you out and sat that area for you...I would have sent you some nice pictures of the kill...just send coordinates if you need a hand with him

So often we hear stories of frustration with Game and Fish Department personnel. Far too rarely are they given credit for good work. Last Wednesday my wife and I rushed to the Tucson office to get a pig tag for our daughter. Our trip of 80 miles took a bit longer than it should have and we were running late. We pulled into the office right after 5:00 and Chrystie ran up to the door just as they locked it. She pleeded her case and was let in. We were helped by Mrs. Alcaraz and Mrs. Duncan. On top of being late, we did not have the correct hunt number to get the tag our daughter needed. No problem, they pulled out the regs and helped us find the correct hunt number. Their version of customer service was top notch.

This is so sad. I never had the pleasure of meeting mike, but through his posts I know he was a great person. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
