Things your huntin buddies do that drive you nuts : )

My buddies tend to kill bigger animals than I kill. So annoying! -
I am also working to shed a few pounds again. Two years ago, I dropped from 292 to 240 (I am 6'2") in preparation of my antelope hunt. The hunt lasted for about two hours. Once I had my goat, I lost my motivation and the weight grew back to 295. Once again I am loosing weight and am back down to 280. Back issues prevent me from jogging, but am able to do most all other exercise. I don't really have any excuses, just eat too much and exercise too little. Every time I hike, my knees beg me to lose weight. I would love to be about 230 pounds.

I spend a lot of time Fooling around. Good information for the average Joe.

That is very rare and pretty cool. Here is a similar post I started a few years ago http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18126&hl=albino

Usually a pretty good time of year to pack the cold beer to the lake. The bite can be incredible as the lake gets ready to freeze over.

I think it's ironic that U of A Hughes uses a picture of an ASU Doctorial candidate as his avatar!

I do much better with the 20s than the monarchs, but my son consistently out glasses me with the monarchs and he hates the 20s. Try before you buy, and see what works for you.

That is a group that has had a lot of success. Great video!

I have used the 20s for many years. They are not sworos or kiababs, but the are much better tham most "cheap" glass. The extra 5 power helps make up for the loss of clarity. Use them for a year or two while you save up for a pair of the good ones. As elkoholic said, these are tripod binos only.

That's a smokin deal!

Any side views so we can see mass? Prongs are right at the ear tips. Good buck!

When you think you are glassing an area slow and thorough enough, slow it down some more.

Welcome to CWT. Look back through the classifieds. There was a youth model .243 advertised a week of two ago. Not sure if it sold or not.

+1 on OE4A. They have done some great work in the past.

If this is the same one I have heard about, it is designed by some engineers at Raytheon. They developed it about 6 or 7 years ago and have been working to improve it ever since. They haven't yet put much effort into marketing. If this is not the same one, there is a similar one out there. I would like to hear from anybody who has shot them.

G and F just sent out this email. End of July...are you kidding me! Credit card processing holding up fall draw notifications PHOENIX – Arizona Game and Fish officials are asking hunters to be patient for the fall hunt drawing results because it takes time to process thousands of credit card transactions. “The computer lottery-portion of the draw process has been completed, but until all of the credit card transactions are processed, the draw process is not complete and we cannot post who is getting a hunt permit tag,” explained Jim Paxon, chief information officer for Game and Fish. That’s one of the reasons Game and Fish asked prospective hunters earlier this month to make sure their credit cards are up to date. Here’s how it works. Once the computer determines someone has been drawn, then the credit card information is submitted. But the process doesn’t end there. If a credit card is denied by a card issuer, multiple attempts are made to get authorization to charge it. When the credit card transaction denial is finalized, Game and Fish personnel must then determine who was next in line to get that hunt-permit tag, and then process that person’s credit information as well. In some cases, it might take multiple iterations to finalize the process on a single tag. “With more than 130,000 applicants this year for the fall draw, it’s just taking time to go through the process,” Paxon said. “If there were a way to speed up the process, we would be doing it.” With any luck it is possible that the draw results posting will become available by the end of July. “If for some reason the process takes longer, we’ll do our best to get the word out to all of you,” Paxon said. -30-
