found the other side on friday. post the pictures later but i could of fallin over when i saw it. 100 feet off the road from where we stopped looking the other day. and yes in wide open country right next to the road. just glad we beat the cruisers that we ran into this weekend.

i agree to this all i was going to ask the same questions. i was in 6a today looking for some new horn country and if you read this and you were the one out there we saw you. watched a green ranger cutting cross country in the lower parts of the cedars, the falt easy walking. we were trailing some bulls we watched yesterday until we saw these guys doing it the lazy way. i hate to say it but i wished they outlawed atvs and stuff during certain times so the people that work and do their homework and are walking dont get beat by the lazy people.

hey i am with you all on the coyotes. trust me if we could of beat the hunters that got to them first we would of knocked em down. but some lucky hunters got to em first.

dang it no luck finding the other side yet but ran out of time headed back this weekend to chase the other bullls that dropped that we could see. maybe find the other side.

well we tried to get up there and set up on them but before we coulda couple guys walked up there and stumbled on them before we could. shots were fired but i dont know the outcome. my mom later picked one off that ran from the cow straight to her though

took my girlfriend out for her pig hunt a couple weekends ago and saw something pretty interesting to share. we glassed up eight coyotes and a handful of crows on a dead cow a couple ridges over from us and as we got closer we could see a bald eagle on the ground with them. we got a lil closer and by the time we got the camera out there were two bald eagles sitting together around the cow with the coyotes and crows. pretty cool to see when your not seeing pigs.
coyote and the crows near the cow
the cow is between the two cedars, the eagle is far right in the picture
two eagles and the one coyote

went out this weeked lookin for brownies, started in one unit in the higher country and saw a bigger bull still packing. we moved saturday night to some lower country where we found some bulls that were still packin and alot more bulls with some bone missin from the tops of their heads. headed back this weekend but while we were drivin out, i couldnt believe my eyes. i see people with the pictures of finding a brownie from their truck and i never imagined i would especially after the hikin i did this weekend. but around the corner i found a nice seven point with a pretty cool kicker. enjoy
All we found Saturday
Nice 2x3 sitting at a tank

well im new to CW, kinda i always read what you guys are chatting about and decided to join. five of us drew coues tags this year including my father and i, and we all ended up getting our deer. i will make this short, but opening morning after galassing three bucks, me and my father decided to go after them and get a closer look. after the hike up everest to get to where the bucks were last, we spilt up and started the search. i ended up getting caught by them with my rifle away from me (trying to look over a tree so i had to move) the deer were bedded hundred yards from me and ended up blowing and going. well after my mistake we started to walk the mountain sides out and see what we could kick up, my father was below me about three hundred yards. as we approached this canyon together but out of sight from each other i saw a spike and a doe take off across the canyon at the level my father was at. i knelt down and threw my rifle up on my knee and decided to let the spike go, being opening day and first coues hunt i was not going to pass many up. as i glanced to the left i saw another deer headed away from me but close to where my father was. the buck was seventy yards from my father and when i got my rifle on him he was 320 yds. i saw he had three points on his left side and decided he was the one. not knowing my father had his bead on him as well just couldn't get the shot because of a tree in the way. the buck walked out from the tree clear shot for me but just inches from a clear shot for my father, so i took the shot dropping the buck. come to find out he was going to shoot the buck right before he heard my shot go off, we laugh about it know but at the time he was jealous after we walked up to the buck. never thought he was as big as he is, hes not huge but for my first coues buck i think i did well. nothing like hunting with my father, and seeing tons of bucks and shooting the one he wanted out from under him!! enjoy the pics

two years ago a good friend of mine took his 14 year old son out and harvested this great bull. his uncle and father were able to watch the whole thing unfold, at one point being forty yards from the bull. its his first ever elk and ended up scoring over 360. dates on the pictures are not correct. hope you guys enjoy the pictures
