Need a better close-up of that skull and hide. Looks a little on the muley side to me IMO. Redshwanz is right about the skulls too. No difference in a 200" coues head to a 90" head. I think to many people are quick to throw out the ol "hybrid" word when there's been few actually documented that actually were. Got any better pics?

It's funny that some people are saying they haven't seen an elk on this hunt. Dad and I were out hunting lions Thursday in the VV hunt unit and there was LOTS of sign of them in there. Jumped 2 separate herds while running the dogs but didn't get any good visuals. Never saw a footprint of a hunter out there either and that dirt out there woulda shown it. From what I saw it looked like literally years and years worth of rut elk rubs out there too. Pretty popular place that's getting overlooked for elk hunting bad!! Didn't find any lions but a lot of elk.

I bought this shed this summer from a rancher here in 6A. I'm pretty sure it was dropped in spring of '06 so maybe he's still around. Unless he's lion poo of course. My boy found one of my hats in the closet and he's been wearing it ever since. He loves it and I thought this pic was appropriate for the site and to share with you all. Any guesses on the size of the shed?
