Peloncillo, I'm guessing this is the buck you're talking about in your other post right? I got permission to post this so enjoy.

If you're referring to this pic... That would be my daughter on her second Halloween in a giraffe outfit. cmc I was referring to the freakishly handsome devil on the upper lefthand on this post..... ME!! BobbyO, so far I think theres been 3 nontyps to go over 150" and I just got word of a monster typ buck that may be a contender for the NWR!!!!!!! I can't wait for pics!

Oh man I wish I coulda been at that show up there!! Wish I could see all those monsters up close like you did AZ#1! I'm jealous!

NICE!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE the extra beam/droptine point!! KILLER BUCK MAN!!!!!!!!!!

I bet the deer are still there you just need to expand your search a little. I've noticed, in my area that I love to hunt, that the deer tend to be somewhere nearby if I'm not seeing all the scrapes and rubs that I normally see too. I bet they're w/in a 1/2 mile.

CouesCrazy (Derrick Taylor) called me last saturday and told me it had 21" of mass per side!!! OUCH!!! He said he didn't understand all the crap going on about it but it's all there for anyone to see. If I can find his number I'll see if he won't mind me posting the couple of pics I have of it.

Ol poochie woochie! The pad on a lion has the 3 humps in the bottom of the heel like the one that hunter4life posted. Last year I drove clear out of town cause a guy told me about this GIANT lion track he'd seen in a wash. I got clear out there and found where he'd seen it and it was a huge dog track. Nice to see you're watching out for tracks though!!! Most people don't have a clue about watching for tracks.

I finally got to see my first cw.com sticker today in Chino Valley. I ran the guy down at the Taco Bell drive thru and introduced myself. Said he was new to the site and his handle is JeffB I think he said. Welcome to the family!

Friggin awesome dude!!!!!!!! -
I'm not talking because I was asked not to. I honor others requests. cmc I hear you and that's totally fine. It's funny how I got emails about two different bucks over 150 and neither of them said anything about not being forwarded as they'd both been forwarded about 5 different people b4 they got to me. So I'd say by now that 100's if not 1000's of people have seen both bucks already. But I won't post pics cause they aren't mine. BTW, who is that handsome devil on the left?!?!?!
-
Don't have permission to discuss it yet?!?! WTCrap does that mean? Unless the darn thing was killed illegally what is the problem? Seems as if now-a-days any time a big buck gets killed it's all on the hush hush. If I killed a monster buck I'd be parading it thru town showin that sumbitch off my brutha! What gives? I've seen pics of this deer and I'm almost tempted to post them w/o the guys head in the pic just to show the rack. J/K, I won't do that. But serious, what's the big deal?

Well I put the ol tape to him and I got a gross of 79 2/8" with an inch deduction for a net of 78 2/8". Not to shabby.

Hello all, thought you'd enjoy a quick short story and some pictures of my latest hunt. My buddy Andy Knowlton and I got into our stands on Friday morning with about 6-8" of fresh snow on the ground. It was a gorgeous morning to be in the woods and it was extremely quite which made it perfect for hunting. Andy at 150 yards away in his stand, around 8:30, called in a small spike to about 5 yards of the base of his tree with The Can, which is a doe bleat call. Shortly after that I saw a small doe, maybe even a fawn walk across the slope in front of me at about 70 yards. around 1PM the snow started to melt out of the tree tops and made for a noisy and wet experience so we decided to call it a day. Next morning we woke to a bright sky and COLD temps for sure. We got to our stands earlier that morning and sat in the cold darkness for about a half hour before it started to get light. We waited with high hopes for something to happen and at 8:20 I had a lone doe come from behind me and pass by at 28 yards, loop around and walk away up the slope in front of me to my right. About a half hour later the same doe came walking back off the slope. I called Andy on the radio and told him what was going on. I had no sooner told Andy that I'd better grab my bow incase a buck was following her when here he came. He slowly followed the same path in the snow that she had gone and I knew he'd pass by at just over 30 yards through a shooting lane. He lightly grunted as he approached the opening in the trees and I was at full draw waiting for him. I shot as he walked thru and he jumped and ran about 20 yards then stopped. I knew I'd hit him but wasn't sure where and knocked another arrow. He stopped at what I thought was around 40-45 yards and I shot at him again. This time the arrow went right under his belly. Knocked another arrow and took my time and shot again under his belly! Finally I put my 50 yard pin on him and hit him in the spine and put him to the ground. I got down from my treestand and snuck up to about 25 yards and shot my last arrow and hit him in the spine again! What a loser I am, guess I was just way to excited! This time I found myself out of arrows so I walked a few steps to where I had shot the first time and there was my arrow stuck in the snow. It was fine so I knocked it and finished the buck off with a double lung shot finally. My archery skills weren't as good as I'd planned it but when you're excited and nervous I guess that can happen sometimes. Anyway I hope you all can view the pictures and I've included one of the same buck visiting a salt lick back in October.

No fingers since I went with the drop-away rest and sights. If I go back to the Oneida it'll be fingers for me once again. I don't see that happening though, unless I'm shooting carp in the river.

Hey thanks again guys for all the nice comments! Hopefully one of these days I'll be lucky enough to post some more success pics. Phil, I don't remember seeing you posting pics of your buck you shot this year. Or did I miss something?
