Is there any difference between the Swhacker broadhead and the SBP broodheads? I still have some SBP 100's from years ago ,I did some machine work for Rick while working at PV , he told me about the broadhead and I got some from a shop called Desert Archery in tucson. That was years ago, they look exactly the same, any changes at all?At the time I did not like the shrink wrap, they were also similar to the Vortex 100's and seemed to fly the same. Since then I have only shot fixed blades, guess I did not understand, and still do not, the need for all the moving parts on a broadhead, I guess its the size of the wound channel that's the motivation..

Gotta go with the Hoyt Vector 32 -
Bought a stainless, synthetic stock Ruger M77 in 1994. Rifle is chambered in 270, put a Leupold VX 3 scope in 3.5 to 10.Started shooting Barnes tsx bullets through it, rifle is a great shooter.consistently shoots 1 inch groups at 100 meters off a Harris Bipod. Definatly my main deer rifle. Also Rugers machined dovetails are in my opinion the best factory scope mounting system out there. I paid less than $500.00 for it .I own several bolt action rifles by different manufactures but the Ruger has more sucess than all the others combined, for deer .

Most sites i have been on have an annual wyoming trip or something similar. Cwt is one of the only sites that does not have one. If anyone is interested in wyoming antelope i would be happy to help you through the process. It is a great time and great hunt. Most of the time you can hunt every other year and get up to 6 antelope. Pm for details. I too think we should have a cwt wyoming antelope hunt. It would be a blast. I am in lets do it, a CWT pronghorn trip to Wyoming

Not exactly at least in the Coconino. Hear is a quote from "Record of Decision" dated September 28, 2012, "Motor vehicle use for the purpose of dispersed camping is allowed within 300 feet along both sides of 581 miles of designated road and along one side of 32 miles of designated road. These motorized dispersed camping corridors are shown in the Record of Decision Map Packet. The area open to dispersed camping totals an estimated 43,313 acres. Where dispersed camping corridors are not designated, Forest visitors may park up to 30 feet off the road edge to camp or to pursue other activities. The reason this decision allows parking up to 30-feet from the side of the road in areas without dispersed camping corridors is (a) to be consistent with adjacent national forests, ( to allow ample room for parking for all vehicle types, and © to limit motor vehicle impacts adjacent to the road corridor in undesignated areas." On the Kaibab in the Williams and Tusayan Ranger Districts it looks like all dispersed camping must be within 30 feet of an "designated open road" and it does not look to me like the North Kaibab Ranger District has finalized their plan unless I misread. Lee From this I take it ,along any open road ,as long as your vehicle is parked no more than 30 ft from the road edge, your camp can be where you want it.

I agree there are several small roads all over the coconino and all the nat. forests that should be closed,it will help the herds eventually and cut down on people racing through the forest. The roads will be there for several years to come whether they are shut down or not, why on the east side of FH 3 can we not at least use these roads to recover elk? Am I not understanding the new regulations correctly, these designated closed roads east of FH 3 cannot be used for anything including elk retrieval. Camping should be allowed along the open roads, there are camp spots already in existence that are farther away from the designated spots, let us use those also. They should bust people who destroy and leave trash or misuse these spots. How are they going to watch for violators of the roads and camping, hire people.
-
Is the issue vehicle control or people control? If I take horse's or mules can I set up a camp where I want? The laws have always been pack it in, pack it out, leave it as you found it. I can see vehicle control off existing roads but if they are controlling where I camp I do not agree, can I pack in to a spot and spend the night or am I in violation?

Now that I think about it, I should have never said "come on by and stick one". Heck ,I have a archery Javelina tag and its not even in 37A. Mines in 33. kinda figured I would have more fun finding em out in the desert and stalking up for a shot. Those in the culvert have been around every fall and winter for several years, after seeing them destroy mine and the peoples property around me, I guess I just do not consider them GAME, more like Large Rats!!
-
I live in 37a, there are 18 of those nasty critters living in a culvert pipe in front of my house, they ate my granddaughters watermelons , all my wifes roses, and love the acorns under my southern oak tree. Come on by and stick one!!

You ever see any worlds cup archers shoot anything other than the 2 best, in this order of course, Hoyt or Mathews. There is a reason why!

Two great bucks taken by two great guys and also brothers
vitalzone replied to Couzer's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Congratulations on some nice bucks, looks like you got to fill all 4 tags. It was nice talking to the brothers and their dad Tuesday night up on the Mountain. If I ever decide to get rid of that Ford truck I will try to look ya up Kyle. -
Kinda wondering, got my archery bull tag, sept 9-22, already did a lot of scouting. Also got a rifle antelope tag in New Mexico sept. 10-12. Guess I will head up wed. and then a little more scouting and then head to NM on Friday. Should be happy but kinda thinking about missing the first couple days of archery bull. Would hate to look back and think my decision, either way,was wrong. But heck yea!!! Elk fever for sure.
