If you could locate the live bull and you had not shot your bull yet you could just ask them " WHO'S YOUR DADDY" . I think they are pretty dang close to being the same one. -

CNE ELK, No I don't know what you would have to shot your .243 at 25yrds to make it on the paper at 1000yrds. I got this info from a buddy of mine that shoots and builds 1000yrd. guns. If you really want to know I could give him a call and find out for you. -

Set your .06 with a 190gr. bullet 22" high at 25 at 25 yards and that should put you on the paper at 1000 yards. The military also uses .30-06 for snipers and .300 win mags. -
I have had a camera out at g&f tank for about 2 months and was starting to get some good activity around it. I was out at the tank on 9-3 and had 19 exposure out of 24, so I figured I would retreive the film this mourning seeing how I was out of town last weekend. I got out there and some bastard low life scum sucking a''hole cut the chain off of the cactus and stoled the film out of it. I guess I should be happy that they didn't take the hole thing but I know I had some good pictures on it. I am going to make it a point to mention it to every one I see out there that the person that did this is a F'N ahole and needs their butt whipped. You just can't trust some people anymore thats a sad thing.

I was calling up in 5b south one time and called in3 cow elk they came in at a pretty good pace and left slowly only going about 40 yards at a time. I thought that was pretty cool to watch.

Isn't Randy from Tucson. It would be great to be able to spend your days hunting and thinking about where your next hunt will be. -
Good job, It's nice when such hard work pays off so well. Congrats!

I'VE BEEN ROBBED!!!
hunterdude replied to hunterdude's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I looked around and there doesn't appear to have any illegal activity going on, no blood no hair or shell casing or drag marks, so I think they are probably letting me scout for them. I reloaded the camera for the night and went back this mourning and found that I had 8 new exposures on it so I took it down and moved it to another spot near by. I'll check it next weekend for more pictures. -
I picked up a chronograph from midway usa about a month ago for 79.99 plus shipping it works great and is easy to use.

Deer don't hit the licks overnight it takes some time for them to hit them on a regular basis. I have a number of salt licks out, I just don't put them so close together that the deer have choices. If you leave them they will always be there to hunt later.

I was up at Canyon lake on Monday and witnessed a act of Nature. We were back past beer can point and saw three mature rams all scoring 160 to 170 on the shore. Two of the rams where bullying one of the rams. The one getting pushed around went down to get a drink and one rams pawed at him with his front hoves, then the other came over and head butted him in the butt and in the drink he went. The ram surfaced and swam back to the shore and tried to get out, but the rocks were to slick and he fell back in. He then tried again and almost had his back feet up on the rock and the more aggressive ram of the three head butted him again and back in he went. He then turn and tried to get out in a different spot and ended up drowning. We both bailed off the jet ski's and tried to grab him and pull him up, but he sunk to fast to grab. We where only about 30 yards from them this whole time. Talked about a sad lesson in wildlife in it's Natural environment. We were bumbed the rest of the day. What a waste of such a beautiful animal I would have much rather see it be taken by a lion or a hunter.

Yea I did call game and fish. They told me that they had some guys from the fishery going up this week and would have them keep a eye out for him to bloat and float.

I drew a deer tag in 37a. Hopefully I can get the one I have been chasing with my bow. No elk or antelope. I may have to go to Missouri and hunt deer and turkey.
