Great pics, sorry for the loss of your camera.I can't understand why people won't leave other peoples stuff alone. That is exactly why more and more land is being locked up.

Way to go!!!

Jake, welcome aboard, there's everyone here from old guys to people like yourself. It's a great website, with people in the know.

I have the biggest one they make.We butcher all our beef here at the ranch, plus all the wild game.It is rated at 18-22 lbs a minute, and it doesn't take long to go through it.On Cabelas reviews a guy went through 5 moose 1 day!!!It works great.

Ilene,I know that you wanted to use your bow,but the buck you killed was awesome!!!I have been down with Javier 5 or 6 times, and really enjoy being with him at his dad's ranch,it's a special place. It was really neat that Javier glassed up a jaguar, did you get to see it also? The last time I was at his dad's ranch,I glassed up 3 lions together.I am glad that you included the pictures of Migel packing your deer,he did the same thing with mine.I am going down to Hermosillo tomorrow with Javiers brother to visit a couple of days with Javier, and his father.Thank you for the writeup, and the pictures.Cliff -

After reading TJ's post I was inspired to write this.I was diagnosed with blockage in my chest in mid Dec.After spending a couple of days in the VA hospital in Tucson I got a stent put in on the 29th of Dec.to correct a 90% blocked artery coming from my heart. What a difference!!!!My friends, and I are like TJ,we have been bringing in the new year for the last 35-40 years with archery pig.I had guys from Nev.,Tucson,Phx all camped in my garage at the ranch. You can imagine my disappointment when I watched everyone leave to go hunting, and I had to stay at home. Now I really know how how my cowdogs feel when I don't take them.Dr's appointment on Thursday released me to do what I thought I could.Ha HA Yesterday I got to go with the last guy that hadn't filled,4 others had.We had 4 spotters,2 hunters,so it didn't take long to find the pigs. After 3 failed stalks, due to the catclaw over our heads,I was about done for the day.I stayed back, while John tried again. We spotted another herd that was in a better position,so off I went.I got above them,to get the wind right, and started down a long ridge that dropped into a canyon.I hurried as much as I could as it was about 4:30 and I was afraid they would move on to bed for the night.I got down to 30 yards, above the pigs, and one came across a opening.I ranged the next pig,he was 27 yards.I shot and ended up hitting him through the heart,so my hunt was over. All 4 of my buddies ended up watching the stalk, and one of them packed it out for me.This was pig number 35 with a bow,and I got 7 more with a pistol, muzzelloader, and rifle. Many thanks to my friends, the dr's at the VA,as I killed this pig 8 days after receiving my stent.

Great write up,when all is said and done it comes down to you and the animal, that's the satisfaction of being the winner!!
