You are right Patrick, and congratulations on the accomplishment at the SCTP nationals. This is a shotgun that is of the highest quality and will be passed on for generations to come.

Well the results are out. The 600 would make a nice gun for one of our young hunters.

Game and fish website is horrible

"Up to 1859.59 hours it is on time." Very true if you are fast at typing.

Game and fish website is horrible

Like an old coach used to say, early is on time and just in time is late. There is a date for applications to be submitted by. You can mail it, apply on line, drop it off at the Game and Fish office ahead of time, and they even have G&F employees stand out side so you can drive up and get window service until 7:00 PM on the last day. I love to hunt and so I make it a priority to get my application in on time. Ya it sucks if you get busy in life and forget about apply until the last minute, and miss the chance to be drawn. Now if you do not think the system is fair, don't blame the system, work with G&F to change it. I did not think it was fair to not allow the use of an 8 gauge to hunt non migratory birds, or big game in a AZ, so I worked to change the law. Every draw hunt for every draw permit this complaint about the way the application process and deadlines works comes up. If we do not like the system, we need to quit blaming the system. Start being part of the solution. Go to the meetings, fill out the requests to address your issue and help fix the problem. In the meantime when the regulations come out every year the deadline dates for the application cut off is published. Mark it on your calendar a few days earlier then that date. Put a reminder in your smart phone, so you get your application submitted on time. Better yet tell your wife or girl friend to remind you, this way you will have someone to blame if you miss the cut off .... That one is always a good one to get a great spirited debate going LOL.
  8. There is a wealth of knowledge on this site, so and have had excellent help finding things in the past. I am looking to install a solar heater on my office patio roof so I can bring up the water temperature a little in my pool. Curious what others are using, and thought their might be a member in the business. I live in Tucson. Like to barter when I can. Please send me a PM if interested in doing some trading. If you are not in the business but have a system that works great, I would appreciate the feedback. Thanks Phil

FOR SALE REMINGTON ROLLING BLOCK 50-90 SHARPS

Gun has been sold to one of the members. Thank you.
  10. I am selling a really neat gun a friend of mine had built about 10 years ago. Unfortunately he never got to shoot it. I test fired it with 17 rounds. Operates great and is accurate. The gun is a Remington 1 frame re barreled for the Historic 50-90 21/2" Sharps. This is the round that so many of the Buffalo hunters used. The Frame was reblued, a new barrel installed. New Wood, with sling swivels, and buttplate has been re cased. Has a rear blade as well as elevator sight.I posted a picture of a 300WSM beside the 50-90 for comparison. $1000.00 includes the brass and 3 loaded rounds. Willing to take full or partial trade for good quality vintage SXS shotgun. Phil at coues3pt@gmail.com attachment=65885:020.jpg]

FOR SALE REMINGTON ROLLING BLOCK 50-90 SHARPS

This great gun is still available. I will be headed to Phoenix in the next two weeks. I could meet you some where that direction. I still think it would be a hoot to take a cow elk with it. Open to cash trade or a combination. Really like Side by side shotguns.

    What barrel length?

Save your money. Send the barrel to Briley. They will thread the barrel and provide 3 chokes ( your choice) for $199.00. Most guys that have 2 or 3 barrel sets rarely use them.

    DESICCANT BAGS -------SOLD------SOLD

Dave sent you an email. I will hold 8 for you. Headed toward PHX in the next 1 to 2 weeks so we can meet in PHX some where. Andy I will hold 2 or 3 which ever you want. I tried your number but not in service. Is there a need for an area code possibly? I still have 7 bags left. I can drop off in the PHX area in the next 1 to 2 weeks.
  15. I have 3 cases of Desiccant bags that work great in gun safes. Here is the information on them. Dri II Plus 18" x 22" x 1.5" - 1500g Dri®II-Plus comes complete with a hook and strap system that can be hung and suspended inside containers, river barges and rail cars. Usage recommendations are 3-4 for a 20-foot container, and 5-6 for a 40-foot container. The number may vary depending on shipping conditions and the nature of the product being protected. Container Desiccant Applications Automotive Parts and Assemblies Metal Parts Food and Produce Wooden Products Dry Bulk Goods, Including Coffee, Grains, and Milled Products Industrial Machinery Electronics These Bags are left over from a project I was doing shipping some products to China that need moisture protection. I paid $180.00 for a case of 6. I will sell these for $10.00 each or a case for $40.00. Phil coues3pt@gmail.com 520-975-0830 East Tucson

FOR SALE REMINGTON ROLLING BLOCK 50-90 SHARPS

I thought I would hold onto this rifle until after the elk draw. Thought I might get a cow tag and use this cool gun. That said I did not draw. Make me a cash offer, willing to take trades for others guns, really like SXS shotguns, or possibly a good center fire rifle, scopes, Binoculars etc. Phil coues3pt@gmail.com 520-975-0830 East Tucson

Yes this is also what I found. Ordered a sat phone to try. I'll see how this works.
  20. I am headed over to the Gila Wilderness area towards Snow Lake next week. Anyone know any places were you can receive cell phone service or get data, without driving almost back to Reserve. Any information would be appreciated. coues3pt@gmail.com

    Lost Bull Unit 10

Looking for some help from the members. I shot a bull on Thursday in Unit 10. Made in hit on the bull in the Liver area. Lots of blood until he rolled under a Juniper tree and stopped a lot of the bleeding. The broadhead I was using lost blades, all though made a clear pass through on the bull. We decided to leave the bull alone after we jumped him at 300 yards were he was originally hit, but an older well meaning friend wandered off only to come back 15 minutes later excited that he had jumped the bull. Unfortunately we lost a lot of the sign when he mixed in with some other elk. We have spent the last 3 days looking with no success. The bull is a heavy horned herd bull that would go about 350 plus. The last sign we found was found in a general area around Highway 66 and east of Seligman about 8 miles. Bull may have crossed over highway 66. Any help from you rifle hunters still out there is greatly appreciated. Phil coues3pt@gmail.com
  22. Finally after 23 points I was drawn. Not sure which unit but I am pretty sure it was 10
  23. Phil Carr

    How many points?

Thanks for the feed back. I guess I now need to decide what unit I would really like to hunt. I waited this long and really would like to hunt an area were the best chance for a trophy will be found.

    How many points?

So then the process I described is correct?
