Anyone have any feedback on the Mathews Heli M? Looking for my dad, I have a DXT and love it but don't know much about the Heli M. He is looking at a used one out of state, does anyone know why this Hoyt sticker would be on a mathews bow?

Thanks for the quick reply and feedback!

Anyone know the difference between the original 12x50 el and the new ones that cost like $500 more?
-
Thanks bone collector, I believe this one is too tall for the space I have, I have seen it on craigslist already. I will send a pm just to be sure
-
Needs to be under 5' tall, in good working condition. Hopefully fits a bull elk butchered:) Our freezer went out so we need another one. Let me know what you have, thanks!

Thanks everyone, I am curious to hear what everyone thinks that 1st bull in the video scores, we tried hard to find him throughout the hunt but only ran into him twice.
-
We saw a good amount of bulls, the toad at the beginning of the video, and a nice 5 point. Ended up with a small 6, hope you enjoy! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ApK0sx1RssE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I have a darton sl50 that i have stored in my garage for years for a friend who finally said i can just donate it. Dont know much about it but it has some wear and it came from michigan. Comes with a bow case and a few arrows. Sticker with draw length is faded but its draw is too short for me (29"). Hoping it can go to a kid (probably should be gone through by archery shop prior to using). Im located in gilbert, not willing to ship.

Bump, bow case alone is around 30 bucks at sportsmans. If nobody on the board wants it does anyone know a good place i could donate it to?

I am thinking of getting a lower end pair of binos for my 4 year olds birthday. He is obsessed with my optics but cant let him play with the higher end stuff. I am considering vortex diamondback compact 8x28s due to price point, size, and warranty. Anyone with experience think this is a good move? Is there another pair that makes more sense? http://www.cabelas.com/product/Vortexreg-Diamondback-8x28-Compact-Binoculars/1401367.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3FrecordsPerPage%3D18%26No%3D0%26N%3D0%26nl%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3DVortex%2Bdiamondback%26search%3DSearch&No=0&Ntt=Vortex+diamondback

Good information everyone thank you. Ive been researching and i actually think the diamondback 8x32 is better than the 8x28 compacts for longevity (the 8x28 model is really small). And i can get the 8x32 demo model from cameralandny for basically the same price. From what i can tell these can even be mounted on a tripod with the vortex adapter i have for my kaibabs, i think this is the route im gonna go.
-
I hear ya on the price and i thought about the cheapies but i figured with those i would probably have to replace them every year and with the vortex and their warranty these would get good use for a long time. To be honest im probably too excited he likes looking through binos to find critters and i feel like im shopping for me haha.

I am located in Gilbert, not interested in any trades, thank you

We bought this bow around 3-4 years ago used. We have never fired an arrow through it. To be honest we should have got one with a lighter draw as the wife has never been able to pull it back. It looks brand new and the previous owner obviously didn't shoot it much either (if at all). Now with 2 small kids we just won't have time for to get out and put time into archery for her. I would keep it for my boy when he gets older but it has flowers in the camo design haha. This bow is really awesome and looks and feels very similar to my Mathews DXT. I believe we spent $550 on it for the bare bow and am now selling it for $500 with the attached sight. It will not come with anythings else (except I will throw in a wrist wrap if you want it). Please PM with questions, not willing to ship, face to face only and I live in Gilbert. Thanks for looking

Last price drop, $400 firm, otherwise I will hang on to it and hope my 20 month old daughter will use it someday.

I am thinking of ordering custom turrets for my 300 win mag from nikon's "Spot On" custom shop. I have a nikon monarch 4-16x50 scope. I have never done the turret thing before and am confused about how to take the old ones off and place the new custom ones on properly. The manual is confusing and it sound like I am supposed to adjust the old turret to "0", unscrew the screw while holding the old turret in place with my fingers, put the new custom turret on lined up at "0", and re-insert the screw while ensuring the turret stays lined up at "0". Am I way off on this? It seems like this would throw my rifle's sighting in off, or is that what the new custom turret takes care of? I am obviously confused, could someone point me in the right direction?

Below are the instructions from the manual, is the highlighted part asking me to do something different than what you said above? (3) Remove the protective cap of the knob by turning it counterclockwise. Align the knob to the 0 (zero) position of the scale ring. This is to assure that the scale ring will be correctly aligned to the new knob (the alignment position should be remembered). (3) With the knob held with your fingers to avoid shifting of the aligned scale ring, turn the screw in the top of the knob counterclockwise with coin until the screw comes out (Fig. 3-13). Then remove the knob. (3) Insert the new knob into position and align the scale ring to 0. (3) Insert the screw. By securing the knob with your fingers to avoid shifting of the scale ring, turn the screw clockwise with the coin, until the knob in firmly secured. (6) Zero setting of knob (Fig. 3-14) (3) After the reticle has been adjusted to the point of impacts, with the knob held with your fingers to avoid shifting of the aligned knob, turn the knob screw in top of the knob counterclockwise with the coin. Then lift the knob up and align the "▼" with the index mark. It may happen that the "▼" could not align with the index mark exactly because of the coupling pitch of the knob with the shaft. And by securing the knob with your fingers to avoid shifting of the knob, turn the grip screw clockwise with the coin until the knob in firmly secured.

I came across this video I had of these bucks I recorded several years ago while scouting. I apologize for the low quality but it's pretty neat especially at the end... http://youtu.be/ncnGRvsZ_Do

We had that tag that year and I even found a few more bucks in the same area. Bucks were found in August, come hunt time couldnt turn anything up better than a 2 pt.

Thanks brndog1. I just wanted to bump this one more time. We are posting Blue's info on Desert Lab Rescue's website hoping to find a good home for him. Some additional info, we have his AKC Litter certificate, all shot records since he was a pup, and he is microchipped. He is by no means a perfect trained dog but will make the right family happy for sure. Thanks again for looking

We have a 4 1/2 year old male silver lab named "Blue" that we need to find a new home for. He is up to date on all shots and is a beautiful dog. Unfortunately we can no longer keep him and need to find a new home for him that does not have little kids. He is by no means an aggressive dog but we had an accident with him that is forcing this difficult decision. If interested please PM me and I can answer any questions. Thanks
