Locked gate on state trust land

I know specifically of a case where some ranchers got the county prosecutor to press charges against a guy for cutting locks and entering state trust land on which the ranchers had a state land lease. The guy lost, had to pay restitution to the ranchers and got community service. Do not cut locks. Those ranchers were later reported to the appropriate agency and were forced to remove the locks. Interesting.

    Sundevils

I agree Coach. I graduated from ASU, but really only went there for geographical convenience. I grew up a UofA fan. So, whenever the teams play other teams, I root for the Arizona team. However, when they play each other, I want UofA to win. State pride I guess.

    Bino Harnesses

The Badlands bino vault is perfect for my 10x42 SLC's. I love that bino pack man! The only thing that I would change is to make it a little easier to take the binos out to put on a tripod. I will have to come up with something for that though for now. I hope they make one that will fit the 15's someday if they don't already.

    Ground blind

If G&F were the culprits on this one, I believe that there is a period of time before property to be considered abandoned, and I don't think one day satisfies that in this case. Sorry about your blind bro.

    AG&F Youth Field Course Complaint

Redman, I hear you. I remember taking the one week course about 20 years ago and actually enjoyed the field day (I remember a lot from that course, like have to pay the instructor an extra 50 cents a day for talking too much to a buddy, though I still think he just wanted a cola). I think it is great that G&F offer the online courses for free now... very convenient. My beef is with the availability of field days. Yes, I would pay to have a more convenient field day that I didn't have to schedule months in advance, or travel 2 hours for (not to mention gas money). I have no problem running my kid to a local school or someplace like that everyday for a week to take the class if I knew that would automatically enroll him into a field day course. I actually think I would prefer my kids to have the in person experience with a live instructor versus the computer. I think they would take it more seriously. It is when he takes the class online and then it's a crap shoot to try and get into a field day. I guess I am still ignorant on this issue (as I don't even know if the in person classes are still offered and what that entails). Just writing about the frustrations that friends and family have had with the field day course. I don't ever remember the courses being an 8 to 10 week course though. That's like a hole law school class. I guy could probably run game and fish after a course that lengthy. If that is what it was then that's interesting.

    AG&F Youth Field Course Complaint

This isn't the first I have heard of this either. I understand that the people that do these field days are volunteers (and I'm grateful for their service). But if the state is mandating that anyone 10-14 years old take this course, shouldn't they offer some legitimate and more convenient ways to get it done. As apache12 said, we are all busy enough, then to have to schedule something like driving to Tucson or scheduling something I don't know how many months in advance!!! Sheesh. I know it's important, but let's face it, we get busy and lose track of these things until the weather cools down and we are reminded that hunting season is here (maybe that makes me a bad father, or poor hunter, I don't know). Don't get me wrong, I know it is a privilege to hunt, but it is because we hunt that these agencies exist. My kids are getting close to the age to have to take this course. If the state agencies won't provide a more convenient way to abide by their rules, then maybe somebody could make a dang good business out of running these clinics as a non-volunteer and make a lot of people real happy by doing it. Sorry for the rant, it is either too late for me to be up with a new baby, or I just had a bad day at school. Not sure which one. Buenos nachos!

    270wsm mountain rifle

My 270 WSM took has taken 3 deer at 650, 750, and 730 yards last year and this year. RL 17 pushing 140 grain Bergers. Shoots like a champ! I was considering the 7 WSM upgrade recently, but after watching another stellar performance this year, I am totally satisfied with the 270.
