These are some of the dogs in 2 days of hunting in the last week...

Was using the Carver Rabid Rabbit open reed call...they are custom made with cocobolo wood and made in Utah...

He is extremely busy and I just got this one back 2 days ago...said he would have my other coues next week.He is doing my bear rug also...I dont know just call him if you need to. The one on the right was a redo from another bad taxidermist job that he corrected,it isnt the original cape,that was my first coues from when I moved here....his # 480-296-6620....hope that helps!!

Thanks guys,actually I was so nervous setting up my stand that I had to be at the ready.The bears were eating acorns and there was 6 bears the first 2 days alone!! Didnt take long to pattern them,and all were within bow range.This one was just the perfect spot walking by.45 yards and went through both shoulders,he only ran about 200 yards.Nice to see you guys around.Good Luck !!

Thanks to everyones support!! It was back in 04 when I first moved here, got my 1st coues...I totally remember it like yesterday!! Congrats on a beauty with a bow,definitely get that one mounted!See ya in January 2011......

Just wanted to say thanks to all the member of CouesWhitetail and members I met at the ISE..It was a pleasure to finally meet you and put faces to names.Thanks also for putting up with this roller coaster ride of scoring this deer.The not knowing is over and I havent stopped smiling since but know that I appreciate everyones input in the matter,for those who dont know my Coues is the pending world record Pope and Young and SCI non typical and Amanda got to score it for Boone and Crockett..so it has been an honor to be a part of this community.The Pope score was done by Marvin Zieser and was 127 7/8"..Amanda gave him a 128 1/8"..I look forward to the get together at Marshall Lake..and sorry I dont have enough backstraps for everyone,but if I did....I cant say enough thank you's to everyone..Nate

Not a monster,but I was limited on hunting days due to work..tenderloins are always a great X-mas dinner...18 yard shot and the rut is definitely rolling..Good Luck to all and have a Merry Christmas!!

Try them all and go with which one works for YOU..I used Thunderhead 100's...they fly in the same as my field points..just 2 cents..

So did ya get a chance to hunt Cuyamaca or along the mtn border near Campo? just curious if any advice helped?
