Thanks for the advice buddy...just wish some of these people would have stepped up to me at the ADA when they had the chance..no matter what I say or do it will always be wrong except those that were ACTUALLY there..they know and they have even stretched it out more than what it is..I set up a stand where I thought a good deer was and thats that..thats humility and I didnt mean to come across as a braggart or boisterous either..I am far more spiritual in the hunt than some people who are just killers and it seems this whole thread is about commercializing and selling out which I guess has already happened..I cant change what I didnt have any control over but what I can control is how I treat others..like I said I have apologized for seeming out of touch with some.I know that you guys dont believe that but I am not here to convince or piss off,or win anyone over.Wouldnt mind having a beer with some of you but then again..put yourself in my shoes and with what I have been dealing with since Novembers accident and then have a magazine and the media put a spin on it..talk to me in person and then make a judgement after a shooting session or something,I never claimed to be the best,I never claimed anything and didnt want any of this once I saw how it blew out of control..I am just a guy who likes to hunt and hang out with other hunters..but like I said you guys all know me better than anyone right? For those who look at me like the Anti-Christ stop by and have a chat then see if I am just some flatlander (which I am) and see if we agree to disagree..Thanks for putting me in my place though,I appreciate it..Nate

Honestly I have already apologized for something that I didnt even have any knowledge about(map) and thats because I do understand what it means...I tried to make light of it and not get too worked up over ones opinion..my girlfriend and her son are recooperating nicely thanks for asking ...for those who read the editorial...they were almost killed in a deer collision in November, hence the Revenge term given...but I guess that someone is focused on the editors bad judgement call and I have to pay the price...its a burden I didnt ask for but we all do what we have too...I can only apologize so many times before its rude to keep hammering...

    ****NOT MY HERO****

Guys- If you woke up this morning to find the magazine and map I assure you I was just as shocked, yes Duncan asked me but I had no idea he was going to go into some crazy map ordeal.I apoplogize to the guys in that area and I also want to state that I didnt even know the magazine was out until other hunters informed me.Trust me I threw my honeyhole under the bus..I am not proud how it turned out.But at the same time those who know me also know that I never strayed from my story of where due to laws and verification purposes, thats all..thats the only reason I even said anything about the unit #....I never mentioned any other specifics and if you can figure out where I was last season good luck, this season should be even more exciting even if there are more people..I didnt do or say anything bad about any of you so dont wake up and start a bashing party on a Wednesday in July!!! Guess the other units that you all hunt are tainted too? You guys could have gotten the real story without having to get everyone in a bunch and I am sure Amanda didnt intend for her site to be this type of forum.I have done nothing but volunteer to help here and there and thats all. Thanks for your thoughts and I will take them all into consideration....

    What rifle is better!!!

I am with Dustin and everyone- PERSONAL preference...try shooting some other rigs and see what you like, here is a pic of the only rifle I shoot..Savage 10 FP 24" barrel in .308..using a fresh workup load I get 3/8" MOA at 100 yards and it is dialed and calibrated (hence the white sticker on top of scope)with 168 AMAX to 1200 yards..I also use a Super Sniper rig in 10X..the 308 was great in the military and its still good now FOR ME,but if you want to shoot it first I already have some loads set aside for deer season here and for my Michigan November hunt..Try shooting different brands and some with factory and some with handloads..3/4 MOA is tedious with factory loads from this setup.I would be more than willing to let you shoot a few boxes at 100 yards out to 1000 if it helps make a sound decision.. Gun-$500 Stock-$125 Super Sniper Scope-$300 Read all reviews..( I used it in the military) Harris Bipod-$80

Steelheads and I hope to have a great hunt, its the idea of getting out there, and if you can share the experience, thats even better.Yes some units are hunted more than others, but we will do the packing thing like I have in the past and see some great animals and have fun doing it!!If hiking up mountains and sweating and cussing is what we all call fun,but in the end if Steelheads gains some knowledge and bags a trophy, then its all worth it.Lets just help each other out,I am sure none of us ever got any instruction or mentoring from our fathers, mothers,or friends right,we all woke up and were born Coues hunters?.....
