    Winter weather

I was out in 33 yesterday and saw several smaller bucks starting to trail does. All of the larger bucks I saw were within 200 yards of the does. I think the rut might start kicking in or at least I a hope.

How many days in the field?

What else is there to do besides maybe chasing women! LOL! That is what makes up the other 200 or so days of the year

How many days in the field?

I have actually been keeping track of how many I have been in the field since January 1st this year and I am up to 124 right now and plan on another 10 or so days before the year is up.

    Warning!

Man I wish my arrows and broadheads were that cheap! For one arrow with my broadhead it is running close to $20!!! Also I loaded up on ammo for my .280 last year when I found a good load for it and have 200 rounds sitting in the garage right now.

Got the new bow! Now for sights and rest!

Ditto to what elmergoo said. For the trophy taker they have new rest out that you do not need to worry about. Here is a link for that rest http://www.trophytaker.com/arrow_rests.asp...type=arrow_rest My dad just picked up his first bow a few months ago and got the black ice also along with a trophy taker pronghorn and the spott hogg wrapped 5 pin. I highly recomend the spott hog wrapped sites since they are so easy to adjust and are really bright.

    Two CWT'ers in a mag!

ya i saw that. it was one of those "hey i know that guy online" moments haha. i was just in trophy hunter this month also for a bull elk. out of curiosity what did yours score Younghunter? He ended up grossing right at 285 and netting 277. Nothing like the bulls I was watching but I couldn't be happier. Also I believe your picture is in the same issue of The Tracker.

    Some more of Napoleon's Critters

Well my buddy now known as Napoleon on here wanted me to post some pictures of some of his other critters he has been fortunate enough to harvest. Here is his 22 late archery bull. His first elk also!!! Then the following year he was able to draw a 22N early rifle bull tag! He harvested this great bull on the last day and even with the missing G4 on his right side it scores 320!!! And here are some pictures of his Kaibab muley this year. It scored 168 and some change. Not to bad for his first muley buck!!! He is very lucky with the draw and drew his third straight bull tag in 22 this year with the hunt starting friday! Hopefully he will have some more pictures of another bull!!!

Just got a call from my buddy and he filled his 22n late bull tag this morning. He got yet another 6x6 and this one scores right at 310. Has great beams and mass along with decent tine length. He will be back on Thursday so I will have pictures for everybody then.

    Two CWT'ers in a mag!

It is a magazine put out by the Arizona Elk Society and it gives alot of information about the events that they do and what they plan to do. There is also alot of information about what is going on around the Arizona hunting community and also stories from hunters. It is a great magazine if you are interested in what is going around in AZ.

    Characteristics

Just to bring up an old topic. I took some pictures of the 3 bucks my dad and I were lucky enough to harvest over the past 2 years. All these bucks were shot within 500 yards of each other. My buck from this year and my dad's 2 point from last year have some similar characteristics with the way there antlers are shaped and the way the eyeguards are. It is hard to tell in the picture but on both buck th right eyeguard hooks slightly forward and the left eyeguard hooks slightly backwards. I to am looking forward to your book Mr. Quimby.
