been shooting them for years now in TX.. They are good to eat. On some days back home, I've taken a donzen or more of them on top of my limit of mourning and whitewings!!!

Great find on a really good buck... BUT, I disagree on killing every snake you see.. I dont see the need to kill something just to kill it. Rattlesnake or not..

that .325 is a sweet round.. my buddy took this badboy in Jan on our buff hunt up in Montana with his.. 3 shots pretty much touching right in the boiler room did the trick on this brute. I thought, and still do think that the round was on the light side for a fully mature bison bull, but it did the trick just as well as my 45-70. If it'll put one of these bad boys down, it'll put a bull elk down in a heartbeat.

AWESOME bucks.. Ive always wanted a goat that has those forward curving fronts... BUT, in that last pic, it looks like you'd have to shoot him out of a flowerbed!! Reminds me of the 06-07 super raffle elk tag bull fiasco!

I grew up in west TX in a serious bird hunting family. We've had bird dogs in my household my entire life. Grew up chasing Bobs and Blues in west TX and eastern NM with my Dad and bro, all my uncles and cousins, Grandad, etc... there were ALOT of dogs at our get togethers!! I cant even remember the first quail I shot.. My folks have a pic of me and my brother hanging in the house with us with my first limit of doves.. I think I was 7 or 8. No front teeth in that pic!! When I was 11, I took my first deer.. a fat ol' WT doe on a cousin's ranch. I still have the tanned hide to this day. I can remember as a kid standing underneath my uncle's pronghorn mount and just thinking that is the coolest, most exotic thing I've ever seen... been fasinated with taxidermy ever since! I've been hooked for along time now.

I dont care about this draw at all. It's all bread and water compared to the one on the 19th. I'm waiting for the super raffle draw so they can get it over with and hand over my sheep tag and Gould's tag. 2 more days!

You've just killed an animal. There's gonna be blood. There's gonna be some hair. heck, there might even be a few organic M&Ms get on your hand or under your fingernail.. It's all part of killing an animal and then preparing to get him out of whereever it is you shot him. Roll up yer sleeves, and get to work!! I think this whole "gutless" method is just some new fandangled fad that some dude came up with claiming it to be the newest, best thing since sliced bread.. I call it BS..I've seen it twice, and it sure as heck wasn't quicker or any cleaner or made the load I had to pack out any lighter. God, I sound like Lark.

It was no problem at all, Hector. Just be ready this fall to head on back down for a crack at a few coveys of Mearns with me! And I'm holdin' ya to that trip in 2010.. I know I'll be there again! As for the house, I've got too much crap!!

With all the Tucson area members that frequent this site on a regular basis, I would have figured alot more of ya'll to show up for the get-together..guess not.
