    Kings Anvil Ranch Unit 36C

It wasn't a nasty gram... I posted it for the whole world to see for awhile, but decided to erase it from the forum board and just tell you over PM. Like '06 said, there's no need to do it over the public forum. I apoligized to those how read it and sent it to who it really needed to go to. That was the reason behind the PM. And with that, I'm out on this hissy fit!!!

The message was deleted and was sent via PM.. Sorry, gentlemen... I'm just the kind of person who NOT going to let someone like Lark come into EVERY single conversation and try and ruin it with his mouth. I'm just the type of person that can't stand by and watch. BUT, I did realize that I should have sent it thru Pm, and thats exactly what i did. Now, lets see if he can do the same.. Sorry guys..

    Favorite Mounts

Thanks for the taxidermy plug Doug.. I just like to do it now as a hobby for myself and also to make a little side money from a few mounts (around 12 or so) I take in every year to fund the hunting problem I have!! BTW, nice goat mount there.. looks good! Who did the work? I'll post a few pics of a few mounts here shortly.
  8. Bowhunter, I was deer hunting when I shot that bird. I was sitting on top of a windmill, doing some rattling and just looking around when about a flock of about 50 turkeys started filing out of the river bottom towards me. thats when I saw the one that didn't quite look like the rest of them! In TX, you get 4 turkey tags per year, and can hunt them in the sping with only a shotgun or achery gear. But in the fall, you can use a rifle if you are so inclined to do so. I don't hunt turkeys with a rifle at all, but this was one that I couldn't pass up.

    U of A Bone.....

    Good job guys...
  10. Well Coosfan, if ya want to see more pics, I'll throw a few more of my favorites on here.. There are some very nice pics being posted on here!! Good job guys!!! SingleShot, I LOVE the pic of you with the coati!! And with a bow none the less.. Lets here a quick when and where on that one... I have been trying to get one of those boogers since I moved out here to AZ. Here is a Nilgai bull I took off of the King ranch in South TX. Very fun to hunt and very good eating as well. Here is one of my Himalayan Tahr bulls from New Zealand.. A good Wildebeast from South Africa.. A Simitar-Horned Oryx bull from TX.. And a pretty unique turkey that I got the opportunity to take while I was deer hunting a few years back..
  11. I know its not a coues buck, but hey, its the slow time of year and I thought ya'll would enjoy a few pics of my Red Stag that I FINALLY got around to mounting.. I shot him WAY back in 2001 in New Zealand. I just never had anywhere with enough room to put him, so the horns just sit in the corner of my room. Since I got my new home, I decided it was time to put him on the wall, and I dug around the other day and found the cape.. Got the cape ready, slightly altered the form and then just waited till I had another day off! I put him together about a week ago, and then finished him today... So, here he is!!
  12. I would consider my Chamois to be my best trophy so far because I almost took a LONG dirt nap during that hunt.. Not the best of pics because of it was raining the entire time we took the pics.. That trophy means a lot to me... And I consider this to be my best photo so far of any of my critters.. It is the pic of my pronghorn from last year.. .. I think the pic came out pretty good..

    Caribou

I would be all over this if I wasn't going to Africa again next month.. I WILL this hunt within the next few years.. Let us know how it goes..

    Finally..

You got that right Amanda!! The only reason I got to shoot him at all was because we had seen him several times before and he was a really agressive stag.. always roaring and fighting with the others.. when we saw him the last time, he had been fighting and had broke his skull.. not his antlers, but he broke his actual skull plate.. One side of his rack was just hanging there by the skin. He had broken his skull right down the middle along the joint line that goes right down the middle. He was just standing there in a complete daze.. He wasn't going to live much longer in the shape he was in, so I was given the green light to go ahead and put him down.. Not much on the hunt part of it, but hey, I put him out of his pain, and I got to shoot a pretty good stag that otherwise I wouldn't have been able to...

    October hunts?

Alot of Stephenville,TX cotton tailed bunnies, cuz that is where that snake was caught....
  18. As the title says, hope everyone that has a tag fills it with a big bearded tom during this spring season.. I am headed out tomorrow to make the trip back home to TX for 4 days of chasin' love crazy Rios with my bow and shotgun.. Yep, its my first archery hunt in about 6 years.. We just decided to make it a little more interesting with a stick and string hunt thrown in with the shotguns... Should be fun, none the less!! The birds are in "full rut" right now, and gobbling at everything!! We'll let ya know how we do.. And I'll be SURE to take my turkey over to a big 'ol corn slingin' feeder somewhere on the ranch and get a pic or two under it just for you Larky!!! Good luck and hope to see plenty of pics over the course of the season...
  19. I just got home from work and this was an e-mail I got from a friend who lives in Manitoba and guides up in the Yukon. He didn't send any type of story with these pics. All I know was that it was a Northern Native who is one lucky dude to be alive.. WOW!! Let the "oh crap" faces begin!!!
  20. I figure i'd share a couple of pics I got from work today. It was another one of those school walk-outs.. This one was in Cali somewhere.. How does this make ya feel? I'd tell ya how it makes me feel and what I'd like to do, but then I'd get banned from the site for sure.. Not trying to start a stink with anyone on this one.. just wanted to share it was all of ya'll and let the opinions speak for themselves cuz Lord knows, we are right in the heart of this mess here in AZ.. "Students protest in Whittier area. Students from Pioneer, California and Whittier high schools walked out of classes to protest the proposed Federal immigration bill March 27, 2006. The protestors raised the Mexican flag over the American flag and had the American flag flying upside down at Montebello High. "
  21. Yeah, I know.. I kinda figured!!...
  22. Some people just don't know when to quit....You're a real funny dude, there FlagPOLE9696....

What do you think of this find?

Coosefan, I know Moosecoues didn't say "bear" grass tank.. But Redrabbit did!! I was just going on he said in his finest, most proper English... AHHH, Toooshayyy, Sir!!!! Like I said, I wish I could find a pickup like that one, but I never get that lucky.. The best one I ever found was a 95" incher that I found on top of Fragita Peak off of TB road. And I never posted a pic of that one. Chef, that pic make me crack up when I saw it!! Good times... Moosecoues, come out, come out where ever you are.... You guys are roothless... ( and toothless) hehe

What do you think of this find?

I'll remember that this fall when you're outta school and you want to go out for a day of Mearns with me. I'll say OK, and then to convineantly forget to pick you up that morning and then proceed to kill a limit of Mearns before lunch, and then go ahead and round out the day with an afternoon of Gambels and Scalies just for good measure!! I'm tellin ya, it ain't me!! Yo Juro!! I don't know who is messing around with all of you gullibles here, but it ain't me! But I would have liked to have been the one who really did find that out there at Bear Grass, but I'm not that lucky... Now... the real trick is to finding out the real culprit here so I can stop being his scapegoat!
