I have been doing more and more research on those Vitara’s. They look hard to beat! (Size and money) Some of the off-road videos are impressive.

They are super light weight and compact. I believe weight limit is 240#. I use the 18” walkstool, I love it! Little heavier, little bulkier but not much and has a little wider seat and super stout. I believe the weight limit on the walkstool is like 450# or something crazy which explains how stout it is. I don’t notice it all while packing, just rides in my side water bottle pocket on the side of my pack.

It is ridiculous down there right now. I had the same experience, I called in a couple groups and zero response! I stopped calling them in it was a waste of time. Also had the same experience about enforcement, I was lucky to see one BP per day! They have opened the borders without publicly saying it.

+1 on this! Yup went through Silencer Central to get one of their Banish 30 suppressors and it was so easy! They send you the fingerprint kit and everything. Got my suppressor mailed to my front door last May with a 6 month turn around.

I’ve run into several over the years, no problems but I just get concerned when hunting with my kids down there during the youth hunt. If I see them from a distance I just go around them I just don’t want to come across some by surprise in a wash somewhere with my kids with me. Even then though they don’t want to bring any attention to themselves anymore than they have to.

I heard the same years ago (early 2000’s) from a border patrol agent. I remember him saying stay away from the black hills in 36a……why do you suppose that is?

You guys are right on point with this one! once I heard Newberg was hunting in the same area I was I went and watched a couple of his utube videos and sure enough even stayed in the exact VRBO I did! I then looked into the draw odds and non resident apps since he started promoting AZ and that’s when it sky rocketed. Especially the exact unit he is hunting which I never heard him say the unit?

If you go Kuiu you need the Katana pant (light weight, early season) or the Pro Pant (mid/late season) They are a tighter weave and won’t pick. I have the Pro pant and they have not been phased yet but I haven’t probably walked through as much cat claw as some of you. I had my Attack pant start picking after one hunt in the southern desert and called Kuiu about it and they explained to me the tighter weave of the Pro pant so I bought a pair and it was a game changer. They have since come out with the Katana which are similar weave just lighter/cooler for early season.

I’m sure you will find the help you need from someone on here. I haven’t been in 10 for years but was never much of a problem finding antelope. I still see them a lot off the 40 in between ash fork and Seligmam. I remember seeing several on the north side of the unit as well when stomping around.

You can not hunt within a 1/4 mile of water!? I was not aware of this law? When did this happen?

Deer should be great! Especially Coues. Perfect timing for fawns too! Give the does lots of feed and give the fawns lots of cover for better survival.
