Looking at getting a new hunting rig that is good for getting me into some rough areas. Im looking for something small and compact suv. What are you guys running? not looking for a side by side but something I can flat tow behind my pickup. Was looking into something like a Suzuki Grand Vitara.
-
So I ended up getting a Suzuki Grand Vitara for a hunting rig. Even though you canāt tell in the first photo the paint job was terrible! Clear coat was almost completely gone! I installed some bigger 10ply AT tires and painted it with some Raptor liningā¦.itās ready for the AZ desert now. (Sorry for the picture rotation, I couldnāt figure out how to rotate them properly)

What about e-tags? I have heard of AZGFD going to e-tags eventually? -
Does anyone know how many elk and antelope applications AZ had this year (2022)? curious to see how it looked compared to last year? Or the past 2 years?
-
Do you know how that compares to last year?

So when do we think the results will be out? For 2022?š¤£

2 questions about suppresors and trigger pull
zslayer replied to maximus's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I have a 6.5cm and run the trigger at 1.5#. I personally donāt like it any higher than 2# max. -
They still do have a active game ranch in that area. Itās on the north side of I-40. I have heard people in the past years mention they seen wild hogs off of the interstate but they happened to be on that ranch. https://www.ultimatehoghunting.com/business/dunton-ranch/
-
Has anyone seen these hogs around?
-
I hear of this more and more and itās sad! This is exactly why we are loosing our access and ranchers are shutting their places down.
-
Thatās funny, I was at the same field day with my daughter! Me and my daughter are actually in the backyard of one of your photos š¤£

Anyone have any experience with the Jeep Liberty?
-
Was someone really doing this!? That would be awesome!!! Iām curious if he went down there again this year? If I were him I wouldnāt step foot on AZ soil again! Lol
-
Yeah thatās one of the big problems, they make you pay for them! Another reason for looking hard at the Suzukiās. You can get them for dang good prices if youāre patient.
-
I can tell you they are not that easy to find. Looks like I will more than likely have to fly out/drive back once I find what Iām looking for. $500 over and being local was still a good deal haha

I have been doing more and more research on those Vitaraās. They look hard to beat! (Size and money) Some of the off-road videos are impressive.
-
They are super light weight and compact. I believe weight limit is 240#. I use the 18ā walkstool, I love it! Little heavier, little bulkier but not much and has a little wider seat and super stout. I believe the weight limit on the walkstool is like 450# or something crazy which explains how stout it is. I donāt notice it all while packing, just rides in my side water bottle pocket on the side of my pack.
