    Night time coon huntin

it is the funnest thing ever. we float down a certain river and i beleive you cant shoot out of a canoe so we will just go in waders in winter or in swimsuit when it opens in august and jump out and blast them with some buck shot. doesnt tear them up hardly. but we dont use a spotlight just a nice headlamp cause the spotlight seems the scare them. but you see them PLENTY well with a nice headlamp. there eyes reflect back blue, but so do house cats dont ask how i found out haha. but its alot of fun to do, weve had a few giant coons, like 3 foot long

  8. im not sure if this is the right place to put this or not... but this morning on the news the state is trying to loosen up on the gun laws so you dont have to have a ccw to carry your pistol concealed. people against it say that more criminals will carry guns. those with it say criminals will carry guns no matter the law which is what i agree with. and im not sure who the group who is doing it is but they are trying to get hunting and fishing as a state right and put in our state constitution therefore we cant have it taken away. it will be the way that fish and animals will be managed. i sure as heck hope it passed. i hope more people know more about it and can post

    Youth javelina

well we went to go out for my friends junior pig hunt today and the beeline was closed so we turned around and pulled off in a random spot and got to a high point and started glassing. after about 30 min we found a herd of about 20 pigs. my dad stayed up on top and me and my friend took off after them. we got about 200 yds and was looking for them again but couldnt find them. my dad was telling us they are right in front of us and then 2 come out behind a bush and are fighting which was cool to watch and hear. well my friend wanted to get closer so we got to 150 yds because if we got closer we wouldnt be able to see them because of terrain. so he set up and i got the shooting sticks out and he DRILLED it! this is his first pig so we started jumping and high fiving it was awesome and fun to watch him get his adrenaline going... hearing him breathing so hard and shaking haha. but i started calling with my mouth to find out if they would come in. well they did and we were about 3 feet apart and 5 pigs go in between us. 1 was popping its teeth at us and i kicked it haha that was so cool. and i forgot to turn my video camera on but we had pigs close and that was the first time he had them that close he said it was the funnest thing he has done having them close enough he could touch them. we waited for my dad and then went up and got his pig. we had a great time

    archery leopard
  12. well i had a great season this past year. i got my deer and elk and my dad shot the biggest whitetail either of us have got but i wasnt with him... he made me stay at school but it grossed 99. its a mass freak. but i shot a mulie and a cow elk. the mulie i was glassing for coues and looked back at a water hole and saw him at 240 yds so i nailed him... couldnt pass and wait for coues but i hadnt even seen 1 yet. elk i shot on my opening morning.. which was a monday and shot her at 580 yds. and then my buddy shot his at 397. oh and then shot my pig opening morning. i stalked in to about 5 yds and was waiting for a shot when it busted cause i rolled a rock trying to get as comfortable as i could. it ran and i drew, then it stopped at about 20 yds and i was waiting for it to get clear and when it took a step i drilled it. ran about 40 yds and tipped over. oh and the fox i called in to about 3 feet haha i had my scope on 9 power so i had to point at it and just pull the trigger and i nailed it. click them to enlarge URL=http://s398.photobucket.com/albums/pp66/deserthntr/?action=view&current=DSC01209.jpg][/url]

    Tuning

i was tuning my bow a while ago and for some reason could never get it paper tuned. i went and shot my pig and now i am trying to get it tuned perfect for archery deer because my broadheads fly left. i have tried 3 different kinds and they all fly left so i am thinking its cause its not tuned all the way. but no matter how far i move my rest the fletchings always hit right of the point. so i move my rest to the left and i moved it as far as it goes and it just doesnt change..... what could be causing this? i know my arrowing isnt making contact with my bow at all.

    Coues virgin

binos are a MUST for coues, glassing and spot and stalk or sitting water where you know they are coming into it is your best chance, you most likely wont get a coues by still hunting in the desert. possible but most likely wont happen
