they have the thanksgiving hunt, they will only be able to hunt till sunday because of school,

hey guys, i am trying to get my 14 year old buddy his first deer and him and his dad picked up a leftover in 36B, they have never hunted in there lives in az, his dad shot a eastern whitetail somewhere back east when he was in the military, but other than that they have no hunting experience. i have never been in the unit so i am doing alot of looking for some good vantage points on google earth but would you focus on the nothern parts of the unit or souther, there will be 4 of us so if we should go closer to the border we will be fine and arent worried, thanks for any tips in advance

i already posted this in the wrong section so i am moving it to here, but i want to get either a zoom lense or a videocamera. i want to photograph animals when i cant hunt them, but i dont have a powerful enough zoom to get anything past 60 or 70 yards. i have a sony cybershot with zeiss lense, its the model that came out in '08. or i want to get a video camera to start taping mine and my dads hunts, something with good clarity and zoom, for long range shots, any suggestions would be great

we decided to hit the hill to the east because of the wind so we didnt disurb the water hole, and we came in from the other side cause the WM said it was less rough, i dont think thats true lol, but i never saw a coues, surprised me, the area looked really good for them up the hill

i had to go to school friday so i got there friday night and i found all the deer and called in a couple pigs to about 3 feet, which was fun, the sun had gone down in the mountains when i found 2 bucks, but we couldnt get in on them in time, the next morning, this morning, we were glassing and my dad was on the other side of the hill when i see some deer walking to a water hole, i look and both are bucks, one is a 3x3 and the other was a 2x3. both mulies but i decided i wanted an 80 coues or a 3 point mulie, which one was and we hadnt seen a single coues, so i shot it at 240 yards from my glassing point, my dad said he was glassing and heard a BOOM WHOP! and came over and i yelled to him i got one, it was awesome, he landed half in the water because he was drinking when i shot him, i will post pics tomorrow

ya i may mow if i can, i mow 2 already that is kinda my thing, and i know a little about cars, i have a neighbor who is a manager of a discout so i will see if i can, i am not 16 quite yet so that is kinda a problem lol, but i am gunna check it out, my friend has to quit because of wrestling so maybe i can take his place at discout, oh and thanks cwt family for helping me out,

ya i did all the work, he took the gear back to the truck then i took it out and gutted it on my own, but thank you for having a road by this water hole, he was a good body sized buck, he are some pics but they are kinda graphic, i have better cleaner ones when i can buy a new camera cord, idk where my other one went so these are just phone pics

i think i know the general area you are, we are about the same spot, but a little father in, i have booties for oreo made out of fire hose which works excellent, but with a shorthair the needles are easy to find, if we want we could meet up at our spot in tonto basin, we will be goin back up over hallowween weekend

how olds your son? thats how it used to be but this year i am kickin my dads but, when your 15 you have tons of energy haha, and my dad is 49 so i am whoopin up on him haha, probably gunna have to pack his deer out for him this year, he says since i know how do clean my deer and elk and everything all by myself i can do it lol, thats what he has done for my past 2 deer, 2 turkeys, and pigs, so my elk he'll probably say the same haha

DUG we did ok, 7 each, my old man got tired so i was chasin birds by myself for a while but everything was still runnin to much so didnt do to good on the points, this is my only my dogs 6th or so trip on quail tho too but she is getting the hang of it, i couldve got more but it was hot and oreo's pads were getting soft and just starting to get tender so i took her back, she did great on the birds tho, she only couldnt find one what about you?
