A lot of people do not understand the numbers behind the draw system and when they fill out their app they severely limit their chances just by putting their choices in the wrong order. If hunt "A" has draw odds of 20% and hunt "B" is at 10% and you list the 20% hunt as your first choice and the 10% hunt as your 2nd choice. You screwed yourself out of any chance at drawing hunt "B".

Arizona is the first state to get results out. I applied in Utah in Feb and won't know until the end of May. They don't even tell you how many tags are available until AFTER the app deadline. Colorado has not even ended their app period yet and we alrady have results.

I have a pole spear and have done a little in the Caribbean. It's bow hunting under water and it is a blast. Like anything, it takes some time to get a feel for it, but it's not a long learning curve like shooting a bow. I'll be doing some more in Belize this summer for sure.
