Yeah, the fun thing about Colorado is there is no luck involved just years of applying.

Looking for a good gunsmith!!!! For my 300 win mag

I'm pretty sure he meant 1/2 yard -
I agree the seats are real comfortable, it was easy to understand why the original owner went with these, but they do have issue's at least in a Rhino, they make using the factory seat belts impossible. Bonecollector has dibs on the seats so they are no longer for sale.

These seats came with my Yamaha Rhino. I didn't like the fit of the bucket seats in the front and went back to the factory seats. They do have some wear on the inside where they rubbed against the center console. The rear seat works great in the Rhino and comes with a steel bracket that mounts in the bed. I have only used the rear seat once since I purchased it so have decided to sell rather than store. I would prefer to sell all together. Asking $150.00 PM me or nIne28fourseven48235

I still have a bunch of 208 Amax that my 300 loves. It has taken 5 deer and antelope with with devastating terminal results at 300 to 620 yards. I had such good luck with it I trusted it for elk last year with a buddy. The exit hole was massive. The only thing is that this shot only ended up being 200 yards and I think a lot of bullets would do well at this range. The best group to date was with the Bergers, but like others have stated, I have concerns with the long range terminal performance. This picture is of the exit hole on the opposite shoulder of the elk after taking the shoulder off.

Arrowsniper thanks for putting this thread back on track, it was headed in a dubious direction and i didn't want to see it completely derailed. I think a lot of us can't wait to see this on the market and get some reports.

I am always amazed when I see one of these. What an awful way to go!

Congrats to cousin Gid. Great shooting!!!

I went out this afternoon to check my trailcam. There were over 4400 pictures on the card to sift through, here are some of the cooler ones. In the one picture it looks like the buck may have some blood on his horn? The other nicer buck looks like he has a smile on his face but I'm not sure why, the rut was over by the time this picture was taken. Then there is the unicorn elk...that thing needs to be culled

I have been using mostly sandisk cards. Battery life is going to be very subjective. I have had this camera go 5 months on 6 alkaline AA batteries. But it is going to depend on how much traffic you are getting, how many shots per burst etc. If it is a low traffic area you can go a long time on quality lithium batteries. To go for long periods of time you will need to install large capacity cards so that you don't fill the card before the battery dies.

This one is a Browning BTC-5HD. I am experimenting with how to set it up, how many shots in the burst and how much time in between. I have had this camera in the same location for about 2 years and it has been one of the best I have had. I get very few false triggers. I have it set at the lowest megapixel so that I can fit as many pictures on the SD card as possible. Unfortunately this go around about 90% of the pictures were of cattle, rabbits and does.

Does anyone know where I can find last year's draw statistics for elk and antelope.

Very nice, amazing G2

A couple of comments about heavier vs lighter. To be a good long range shooter you should be putting a lot time in at the range and heat dissipation cannot be overlooked. Also, felt recoil is greatly reduced the heavier you go. All that being said, the one I am working on now should end up under 8 pounds

I am left eye dominant. I shoot all rifles left handed but do nothing else left handed. I can barely feed myself when I try to eat with my left hand

Great job Brian

If you are looking to get more than a mile in typical AZ hunting terrain go talk with someone in the business as suggested above. Frequency, output power and antenna length are all factors that will effect range. I have tried a bunch of different ones and none live up to the hype.

Sorry for your loss. I lost a small friend the week before Christmas, so I kinda understand.

I don't like this move. I would prefer they charge up front. I know several people that got a raw deal through no fault of there own. I like being able to put in online as it is almost impossible to make a mistake on your app other than putting in for the wrong hunt.

must resist...someone please buy this

If technology fails can you still make the shot?
pwrguy replied to 300RUM's topic in Long Range Shooting
The math is fairly basic, the range is where I get into trouble. I would probably self limit to around 300 without a rangefinder. I would guess the odds are pretty small that I would have to be without one. I killed plenty of critters b4 the laser age
