Private is private, they can do what they want, what ticks me off is this whole checkerboard system that locks me out of "public". I doubt I will ever set foot in unit 10 again, you rich guys can have it.

pwrguy replied to Bradaet's topic in Classified Ads

I had the same thing happen buying my license. I had to call them and have one of the 2 licenses they sold me canceled. I was warned it may take up to a month to get my money back, still waiting on that

Returning tag for reinstatement of bonus points
pwrguy replied to bonecollector777's topic in The Campfire
i love the idea, but potential for abuse seems high after reading the comments. This will most definitely increase the number of non-hunters applying for tags, which should translate to lower draw odds? -
I can't believe you still have this, if it is still around in a few weeks I might have to sell some stuff.
-
Adam, the good news is you have almost the same odds of drawing the best unit in the state as I do with 15

AZGFC'S Concideration of Fair Chase Terms
pwrguy replied to elkaholic's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Yes, I think fair chase should be re visited frequently. If you are going to pass a law though it should be black and white. I love trail camera's. I only have one out now, but if I had the time and money I would put a ton of them out. Could some traditionalist have a problem with that, of course, if they passed a law that said you couldn't use them would I stop hunting because a tool I liked was taken away, no I wouldn't. Stupid laws are going to come, just don't make them vague so everyone knows where they stand. -

There are a lot more protections for credit card users. I wouldn't own a debit card myself.

New rifle caliber choice? You tell me!
pwrguy replied to joelpresmyk8's topic in Long Range Shooting
My vote would be for the 300WM or 300Weatherby. Heavy rifles with brakes are really comfortable to shoot if you have a high tolerance for carrying them up mountainsides. The possibility of not being able to find supplies exists in just about every offering. Figure out what you like and buy lots of them when you find them. -
Bergers FAILED me horribly
pwrguy replied to joelpresmyk8's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
That is poor performance. I seems like you had enough speed for them to work properly. I would try accubond or Accubond LR. I have had good results with with Amax as well but I am shooting a little faster than your 06. -
I have seen this problem a number of times, like has already been stated, many factors play into it. I had a friend hit one low in the lungs a few weeks ago that I doubt he would have ever found it had I not been spotting for him. The deer ran a hundred yards and piled up, but in some of the country here in AZ it might as well be a mile if you don't have any tracks to follow or some spots of blood.
