    Spray Painted Game Cameras

I don't know what gets into people, I alway's used to think my stuff was pretty safe in the woods. I would like to think it was non-hunters doing all this cr**, but I know better. I think trail camera's are pretty harmless and no matter what you think about using technology, it doesn't make any sense to vandalize other peoples stuff. Chances are good you won'd find out who did this.

    >300wsm or .300win mag?

Both are similar in performance, with lots and lots of choices of bullets and powders. You really can't go wrong!! Depending on the weight of the rifle, you are going to feel plenty of recoil, I would still consider a good break if you don't like getting thumped. Just my 2 cents worth.

    Hunting Griz Country

If it is an archery hunt, I would go with the big .50 pistol. I have been in grizzly country a couple of trips but never had any close encounters. I saw 4 last year in Alaska at 1500 yards, and that is the range I would prefer to see them at Good luck

    Blind Question

I will be curious to see the answers to this post. I have alway's wondered what it would be like sitting in a ground blind in August weather in AZ.

What is the average score of a buck at his peak?

+1 I think a lot depends on the genetics of a particular area. Mid 90s seems to be pretty common, although looking through binocs, it is hard to guess the age of the deer, and depradation could play a large role on what age an "adult" buck is.

    Saw some out hiking

I went out hiking last weekend and this herd of elk let me walk right up to them. It is pretty funny how close they will let you get when they are in a herd and moving around.

    Backpacks?

I have heard good things about all the packs mentioned in this post. I would have to agree with the person that compared a good pack to a good pair of boots. Don't let price keep you from getting something that will fulfill your needs and not fail you when you need it most. I have a a couple of hunts the last few years that involved true wilderness experiences and my pack has met most of my expectations and needs. http://www.adventureoutfittersinc.com/?q=products/hard-core-hunt-pack The only problem I have had is I have managed to tear the fabric several times and had to send it in to be repaired last year. They were easy to work with and got the job done quickly. Considering that I have used it hard for 6 or 7 years I guess this is not to bad. I am not aware of a gun scabbard for this pack, I normally carry my rifle, although I have put my rifle sideway's accross the top like they show in the literature on occasion. The feature of this pack that I have found to be much more useful than previous packs I have owned is the ability to detach the bag from the frame, and use the frame for packing meat while carrying the bag with my free hand, it even has a nice handle to carry with. The negative of this pack is it is ill suited for more than a couple of day's of backpacking, there is just not enough storage for stuff.

    Lion put down in Prescott.

Sounds to me like the kitty fell out of the tree after being darted. In any event, they did the right thing, it too dangerous to keep a lion alive that has been making its living around people and their pets.

    trying to figure this out

Rings, bases or bad scope, I don't think any other problems would cause an 8 inch shift, not even deteriorated powder or stock touching the barrell. Good luck, sounds like you might be on the right track
