It does seem like there are fewer really large bucks in the December hunt than there used to be. I don't really know what else to attribute it to except the tag re-structuring. It did also seem like the rut was hit and miss depending on where you hunted. It was really cool to see that activity that we saw even if the bucks were smaller. Personally, I don't think I will wait around another 5 years for a rut tag..November seems to be a viable second option

They do seem to be scarce these day's. I have been out every day for the past 12 day's or so, have only glassed pigs 1 time. I also have an archery tag when this rifle deer season ends and hope to finaly get one of those little buggers with a bow

Well, I glassed one today at 1500 yards, I'm thinkin on going for the 50BMG. That way I don't have to gut him when I finally get there.

It is on up here, saw several bucks chasing does today, making scrapes, trashing trees...man I love this time of year!@!!

Glasse bucks and does in 2 different area's this weekend, no sign of activity, bucks still a long way from does. I bet this weather will kick off a little action for the opener this weekend...here's to hopin anyway

I have seen those collared doves at my feeder. I looked them up in my book, it seems like they came here from Europe via Florida??? Anyone else know anything about them.
