I just got the Leica 1200. I love it. You can't alway's get it to range that far, but most of the time you can if you find a rest and try hitting a few other surfaces in the same area. My previous one was a bushnell 800 and it got the job done most of the time. I find it usefull being able to range beyond my shooting ability, it will help you in determining where to shoot from many times. Having a rangefinder you can afford is much better than nothing, I'm just not sure what cheaper one to suggest.

I found an item related to hunting on a trail south of Rye. It is a somewhat pricey item, and if someone would PM me and identify it I would be happy to get it to them. I found it about a week ago, it was probably lost by a cow elk or Junior Deer hunter?

Definitely 2 different deer, hard to tell score, can't really even make out any G1 but given the frame size could be as much as 120 but for sure over 105. Great lookin deer, I know I wouldn't have to think to long b4 pulling the trigger

This bull was caught just a few day's ago cruising pretty fast by the trail cam. He obviously has his mind on other things

Went out looking for wt and all we saw were some carp and elk. In the picture you can see a typical 3 point on top, and just below him was a ..... I don't know. It looked like some kind of dis-figured antler growth. I wish I could have gotten a better picture, but this was through my 15's with a little canon digital. They were approx 1000 yards, and I'm amazed at how good the picture is.

That bottom end is awesome, although pictures can be decieving. I would think that bull is way past 350 net.

I think there was velvet, couldn't tell for sure, I didn't bring the spotter with me. If he was a cactus type of buck, it wasn't the kind you would shoot. I don't think the junk on his head added up to much more than softball size?
