2009 arizona dream buck (133 P&Y inches)
pwrguy replied to archery nut's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
awesome buck, congrats -
Sounds like a cool sleep system. I have several items from those guys and customer service is great, and have never been dissapointed with what they sell.

I had the opportunity to take one a number of years ago when I hunted down south. I didn't know what they were and was too busy staring at them to drop the hammer. There were about 6 or 8 in that group. Last year, I saw a group of them pass through the brush about 30 feet away from where I was glassing in the upper part of unit 23. Has anyone else seem them that far north?

Man..I wish I got that much in 2 weeks. On a brighter note, I did go out scouting this morning and saw a bear, a doe and a pretty decent bull
-
Very nice. Good luck on harvesting!!!
-
Too bad. Looks like it could be him, hard to tell for sure, those first 2 pictures aren't real clear
-
Scott, that is one funky deer, I would definitely like another look at him in a couple of years
-
I have the same trouble peering through the scope for long periods of time. I use my 15's most of the time, and just pull the spotter out for quick looks at more detail.

Interesting forks on that one rack, but would have to agree 100% Whitetail

wow..wouldn't venture a guess -
I have heard them rippin on junior cow hunts first week of October, and I know they usually talk until the end of the month, but not every day.

I purchased some of cabela's packable raingear last year for a moose hunt in Alaska. It was a bit pricey, but I get cold easy and wanted decent quality. They were quiet and I ended up wearing them most of the hunt because it was so wet up there. They worked well and although sometimes felt like they were retaining water, I never really got wet underneath. I don't remember the exact model?

I was out this morning, saw six does but only one fawn. Is it possible that a bunch of them haven't dropped yet?

Great pictures thanks for sharing -
That is a nice buck!!!!

My Bushnell failed as well, do any of you happen to know what Leica is like to deal with as far as warranty? That 1200 is the one I have been looking at hardest.
-
Wow..that is one of the biggest I have seen..you sure that's not a grizz?
-
Well...thats a good thing to be shooting poorly at. BTW...thats funny.

I'd like to start a debate.....about points....
pwrguy replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in The Campfire
That is a 4X4 in my book, as with all whitetail. Eye guards are only excluded as a point on mule deer regardless of scoreable or not. -
I would have to agree with what Amanda said with a couple of thoughts of my own. It is just plain fun to be out there when they are chasin does and glassing all day without passing out of heat exhaustion. To me it is worth the wait, as long as there are other options available such as archery or hunting out of state. I have graduated beyond competing with other hunters for who got the biggest, I am only in competion with myself and the deer. I have had several un-filled December tags over the years and have never been sorry, the only regret was not spending more time hunting when I had them. Last but not least, having 25 other hunters is a lot nicer than 600!!!
-
Great buck, looks like a double main beam to me? Good luck darting him
-
I suppose if I could consistently "arrow them couesies" my game plan might change. Having a December rifle tag is a difficult thing to pass on these day's, especially if you don't have a junior to sign your tag to.
