I talked to a guy that had sat a tank the first 3 days of the season and not one deer came in since the rain. He also has a camera on it so he's not missing any either.

I decided to try sittin water this year in a blind rather than spot/stalk as my primary method....do u keep sittin water when it has rained? Or do u bail and start glassin? Just curious. I head up Wed and looks like mostly coues hitting tanks. My cam shows them comin in all hours...then it rained and activity dropped way off. I'm not sitting water, I'm on a well used trail. Not sure where your hunting at but the unit I'm in there is water everywhere from the rains. I would imagine they won't go water at the tank if there Is water somewhere from rain. Good luck.

24a got pounded with rain today.

Finally stopped raining after 2 1/2 hrs strait. Went to set my blind somebody beat me to it. Left him a note to contact me so we can work something out maybe. I'll be off to plan B in the morning.

Leaving this 112 for hopefully cooler weather!!
