Upper Sycamore creak area, across from the four peaks turnoff off of highway 87. Not sure if it is still closed for fire restrictions they close it every summer for target practicing. To avoid the crowds you must go during the week if possible.

A couple of Saturdays ago I went to check my camera and do some scouting around where I plan on archery hunting. I happened to come across somebody elses camera setup on a trophy rock I would say only a couple hundred yards from my camera. I noticed the rock first then I looked for the camera, the camera was only attached to the tree by 2 black shoe strings no lock no nothing. Of course I left it alone did not disturb the area hopefully no thief finds it they would easily take it, but they would have to hike to find it well hidden. It was a cudde back excite in unit 24 pm me if this is somebodies on this site.

My wife asked me about 10 times if I was having withdrawals, of course I said no!

During my hunt last year we watched the bulls cross the road close to that water hole but it was after shooting hours, later that night someone decided to empty a full magazine out by the lake somewhere that woke me up and I never found the bulls again .

Last year I had the late archery bull hunt and was scouting in early October and the elk were out in the middle of mormon lake. I talked to some of the locals they said its pretty hilarious watching people trying to put stalks on these elk. They try to belly crawl all the way out there it doesn't look that far but it is and most of the time it gets pretty muddy out there. I would llove to watch someone try it.
