The more coues threads the better. My most memorable coues hunt, there wasnt a buck killed but it was my daughters first hunt and we had a blast together.

I was lucky and drew my AZ archery tag with 3 pts and the NM tag was a land owner tag.

You can go through the classified section around the time you sold it and see if the post is still there. -

It has been my experience (4 archery tags + this one) that the rut really doesn't kick in until the first week of September. I am hoping with the 8/11 start that they are still solo. I am trying to fine tune everything, from pushing them to see their escape routes to learning the nuances of the fields they live in. To finding every conceivable indention that may hold water. I am stuck in hades, AKA Scottsdale, for work until the eve of my hunt. I have limited vacation and two tags (elk and antelope), I am hoping to only need one vacation day for me antelope hunt, that's why I am overcompensating with scouting/training. I will spend the next month upping my practice shooting to 5 days a week to get the muscle memory as much in place as possible. suburban from yesterday DSCN1098.JPG DSCN1100.JPG Flare full sized with his friends DSCN1174.JPG DSCN1050.JPG DSCN1167.JPG DSCN1197.JPG If your near scottsdale fashion square, get ahold of me and we can do lunch.

Been wearing kuiu since 2012 and hate the trend now. Thought about changing but I've spent enough on kuiu and will wait till it ware's out first. I will not wear first lite either, all the mtn ops guys wear that.

Whats the longest youve left an Elk in the field
bonecollector replied to trphyhntr's topic in Elk Hunting
I shot my bull in 2014 at 7:20am, lost blood trail after a couple hundred yards. Searched for hours then headed back to camp for more water and to regroup. We ended up finding my bull around 5pm I believe, the neck meat was bad but that was it. Not sure how long it took him to actually die, so cant say how long it laid there. -
I very rarely get bears in this spot but the last couple weeks they have been around.
