How to stop (or decrease) trail camera theft.
.270 replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
here is how you can stop it. put s sign on it stating that if you mess with it you will set off a hidden 12 guage that will blow a big ugly hole in ya. if you really do want to buy a cheap 12 guage and really do it, well that's up to you. thieves are thieves. if you nailed a bucket o' $h!t to a tree and put a lock on it, somebody will steal it if they see it. like the guy who got his locked glued. who the heck is gonna pack around super glue in the woods? some jackass that is gonna steal or vandalize anything he comes across, that's who. they needs their asses kicked, a bunch too. and then they need their name splattered all over the place. the only thing that stops stupidity is pain. Lark. -
i've called in a few over the years. a wounded jabkrabbit call seems to work the best. get on a big canyon where you know there will be bears and where the sound will carry a long way and be ready to blow a long time. or use an electric call. Lark,

that's about the wierdest thing i ever saw. slopped water outta my cement pond. had about a 18" sunami goin' on in it for awhile. made me a little dizzy. for a minute there i thought i started drinkin' again. Lark.
-
i checked my gps, bullwidgeon was nowhere in the area. he has that trackin' collar on the azgfd put on him. Lark.

i know all about his last fiasco with the drugged elk and the stolen bighorn heads. but he didn't get any jail time out of it. i thought maybe he got in some new trainwreck? he really stepped in it this last time. he lost every shred of credibility he had. too bad too. he's a helluva deer hunter. anyway i thought that maybe he got in trouble again, but that was before i realized who muleyman really is. i guess cwd is up to his ol' tricks o' hidin' behind his computer to try to aggervate folks. sorta like a bratty little kid who hides behind his mama. people with no friends are like that. anyway, that earthquake last week was a wierd deal. really surprised that nobody else had any experience with it. my pool was really rockin' an o' rollin' for awhile. made me dizzy. couldn't figger out what the heck was goin on. i had a buncha meat in the smoker next to the cement pond and was out tending to it when it happened. their was a big ol' sunami wave goin' back and forth across the pool. probably an 18 inch wave went back and forth for quite awhile. my youngest sons happened to be in the house and i went in and got em and i guess another tremor musta come through, because we all got sorta dizzy again. went in and turned on the tv and they said there were 4 or 5 earthquakes in the sea of cortez and we could feel em here. when i was a kid we were horseback in the penalenos and rocks started rolling off the mountains and the pines went to shakin' and the horses got all humpy. that was my only experience with tremors til this. other than the movie. i watch it all the time. i love documentaries. Lark. '

i had a job once. it didn't work out. after 31 years i said heck with it. didn't anybody else feel that earthquake the other day. i know it happened cuz it were on the nooz. Lark.

make no mistake guys. their real goal is to control every aspect of your life. wait until april 15 and the tax audit notifications come out for everyone that has fought against it and made the mistake of letting their name get published. that was one of clinton's favorite tricks too. this bill is not an insurance bill, it is not a health care bill. it is a control your life bill. they want to be able to tell you what you can and can't eat. they want to be able to take your bank account, your home equity, anything of value, to pay for your medical bills after they take over. that is in the proposal. when you turn 65 you have to have end of life counselling every 5 years. mandatory. there are vague euthinasia privisions. this is scary stuff. if you voted for obama slug yourself in the mouth every morning. if you know anyone who voted for him, then you slug em the mouth. my dad is about the toughest guy i ever knew. right now is the only time i've ever seen him scared. and it is all because of the bs that obama and his goons have come up with. won't be long and we'll all be living in gov't apartments, with gov't foor stamps, gov't jobs, etc. we have an election coming up soon. congressmen have to be re-elected every 2 years. there will be a bunch of senators up for election too. if enough of the liberal bastards lose, then obama is a lame duck. if they don't, we're screwed, blued and tatood. awhile back a buncha you guys were cussin' bush. i'm pretty dissapointed in some of his policy, especially on border enforcement and on being weak with dealing with liberals. but i want you guys to think back. when did we ever have more liberty than the 8 years when he was in office? the brady bill died. he tossed the kyoto accord in the trash. state's rights expanded vastly. and after 9-11, there was not one attack on U.S. soil, embassy, military base, etc. they rounded up every person that even said the word terrorist and either killed em or locked em up. what has obama done? he wants to make em citizens so they can use our courts. we have an attorney general that wants to take every gun away. he even wants to outlaw any knife you can open with one hand. now we have this jerk sotomayor as a supreme court justice. mark my words, it won't be long until they want us to have some sort of passport to go state to state and even county to county. something janet reno floated and something that liberals want badly. again, they want to control your life. think about that next election. Lark.

my mom had a 64 impala. the truck was big enough for 3 nice muleys at least because we got 3 in it once. 2 of my uncles shot 2 really good 4x4's at greys peak and another uncle got a 3x3 down the juan miller road later that day and we hauled em all home in the impala. the other vehicle we took that day was my uncle's vw. we took down the tule flat road to get the 4x4's out. there was me, my 2 uncles and both bucks in the vw. one rolled up in the back seat with me and the other stretched across the fenders under the hood. great time.

Reloading nickle brass cases
.270 replied to seek100plus's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
i reload a lot, if there is any difference in the the two, i've never noticed it. it reloacs fine. Lark. -
i figgerd fer sure that casey would have some kinda banjo ritual. i'm always too busy trackin' stuff down, shootin' it, punkin' it back to the truck, skinnin' it and gettin' ready for the next day to have superstitions or rituals. Lark.

ok ya buncha morons, ya can breath a little easier. bullwidgeon took a bath and i done and bought me a laptop. now i can check in and correct any of the plethora (that means " 'ho bunch", to you folks from aj) o' mistakes ya make. and no, i didn't get a dam sheep tag again. Lark.
-
we use 99 grains of retumbo. don't remember right off hand the velocity. the trick is to get the right overall length for your rifle. very accurate rifle. Lark.
-
none of it is gonna matter if this idiot screws around and lets iran build a nuke. only thing worse than obamas domestic policy is his foreign policy. he thinks he's gonna dazzle born and bred murderers with his teleprompter skills. Lark.
-
my boy has a christensen 300 rum. we load a buncha retumbo behind 180 gr nosler accubonds. works very well. i killed a bull and a buck with it last year. buck was 640, elk was 735. Lark.
-
i might notta gotta sheep tag, but i did get another bull elk tag (2 years in a row) a deer tag and a colorado goat tag. they probly give my sheep tag to some 7mm/08 hunter to help with conservation efforts. Lark.
-
now we know what happened to the last pteradactyl. bill speared it. Lark.
-
what an idjut. some folk is just igernut and refuse to get unigernut. keep your pud gun. just means more game for the rest of us. the 7mm/08 is the gun of choice of the sierra club, the french army and several other tree hugger groups. because it won't hurt anything. i don't think they made a model 70 in .30/30 anyway. they did make the '54 in it tho. i missed you too. Lark.

my kids bought me a gradjiayshun present, a varix-3 leupold 6.5x20x40 with custom dots out to 500 and then it has a turret to go out to 1000. it's set up for the handloads i shoot in "Farkiller" my model 70 .300 mag. they even had my initials, brand and a elk engraved into it. talk about a slick scope. just got the new cant one piece long range base for it and mounted it up. probably shoot it tomorrow. ain't much safe in this state now. heck, i'm such a good shot i can probly just shoot a bull from my house in creen queek later this year. just send my boys up to pack it out. i'll probly hafta go to the state line to shoot somethin' in new mex tho. eyes ain't quite what they useta be. Lark.

i've bought a couple hundred super dutys for work over the past years, and they've been a reliable truck. i've always been a gm man, but i think the next truck i get will be a ford, for one reason, they are not part of the obama motor company. Lark.

it's a good thing i happened to be by a computer today so i can straighten you morons out. why's everbody need a big fat barrel? heavy barrels do not increase accuracy. the main reason for heavy barrels is so you don't hafta put a buncha machine work into a target rifle. the only other reason, other than looks, is for a rifle that is going to see shot after shot at the range, so it won't heat up as quick. but after it does heat up, it takes longer to cool down. what matters on a barrel is what's on the inside. twist, throat, headspace, and quality of the rifling. the outside does not add one iota of accuracy to a rifle. especially to a huntin rifle that is only going to see a few shots at a time after it's sighted in. big fat barrels are like jacked up trucks and short guys with high heeled cowboy boots on. trying to make up for some other deficiency. someone questioned the christensen rifles? i've only had experience with one and it is a nail driver. only it's like driving a 16 penny with a a 20 pound sledge. my son has one in .300 rum. i shot a muley with it at 640 yards and and elk at 735 last year. extremely accurate. very well made. o' course it was me shootin' it, so accuracy is a given. there ain't a lot of fancy slick stuff on it. the stock is rough feeling, the floor plate isn't all smooth and machined out nice, but they are one well made accurate rifle and the only reason i don't have one is because they are so dang expensive, especially after you invest a couple grand in a scope that is worthy of the rifle. get you a good slim profiled 26 inch barrel in whatever caliber you want and some kinda good action. .308 is ok, it's sorta like an '06, only less. same with a short mag, it's like a .300 win mag, only less. i guess a .308 is a good target rifle, real accurate round with twisted properly, but it's pretty slow, and i like hotrods. but if you're real serious, get a .270 and forget about all that other stuff. and for heck's sake, don't get a dang 7mm/08! Lark.

well, the average IQ o' this place is gonna take a big hit. probly like 60 points or so. i signed all the papers and am retirin' july 10. a couple days after my 55th birthday. i don't know what you guys are gonna do for sage advice from now on. we all know i'm the smartest guy any of ya know. i guess it really ain't fair, to be so smart, tall, strong, good lookin' and witty. i can run fast and jump real high too. but what i can i do? ya can't give it back. anyway, struggle along as best as you can without my shinin' beacon of intelligence showin' ya the way. i'll try to check back in on occasion, but i have so much planned now that i don't see me around a computer much until after the new year. fishin' in 'lasky for a few weeks, 3 elk hunts in Az, a primo new mex deer hunt, colorado pronghorn, Az. deer. heck, i don't know how i ever had time to have a job. i'll probly finally get a sheep tag too, just to round out the year. well, remember these things: the sun always comes up in the east and sets in the west. even in aj. wolves taste pretty good. go real well with condor. 7mm/08's are for wimmin' and guys that should be wimmin. bullwidgeon really does look like a javelina. the resemblance is spooky. global warming is a farce and was only invented to take your money. obama is a farce and was only invented to take your money. coues deer are like the circus midget of the deer family, funny to watch, but they're just there to make you laugh while they get the real show back in the ring. the usfw does not have anyone or anythings best interest in mind, other than more power, authority and control for them. don't ever let up on the azgfd. they have some good guys but they are still politically and monetarily driven and need to be reminded constantly that wildlife conservation is their real job. if you voted for obama, slug yourself in the mouth everyday. remember that when uso sued Az., sci lined up with them. (just an illustration that you need to really look hard at where you put your money and who's interests do they really have in mind) shoot every coyote and lion you see. there will always be too many of em. they're too sneaky for hunters to ever put a big dent in their population. save as much money as you can, which ain't east to do, especially these days. don't fight amongst each other, other than good constructive discussion that has real value. the .270 is a gift from heaven. and i'm always right. later dudes. Lark.

as long as it says 6mm remington on the barrel, it will shoot any weight bullet ok. the 6mm was originally called a .244 remington. they were trying hard to catch a little of the .243 popularity. the .244 would hold a couple grains more powder and you could squeeze a few more fps out of it. but the .244's barrels were twisted too slow to stabilize a 100 gr bullet well. they suffered along like that for awhile and they finally put a quicker twist in the barrel and renamed it the 6mm. similar to what remington did with the .280/7mm express/.280, again. the 6mm is a fairly sharp cartridge, but you can't resize a .308 and make one. which is one of the really neat things about a .243. AZ Hunt Guidelines 2010-2012
.270 replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
ever time i go they never do anything i say. what is wrong with a designated sheep/elk/deer/pronghorn tag every year that automatically goes to me? they just have no vision. or sense o' humor for that matter. Lark.
