    Family camping tent??

I like the Kodiak cabin tent with the porch. If you use cots it has the most vertical sides. More square footage at cot hright. I hope that makes sense.

    Light Weight Deer Gun?

180gr accubond next to a loaded 168gr berger. Up until last year (or 3, time melds together ) I had to fireform. I haven't shot it much since I have gone the way of the suppressor.

    Light Weight Deer Gun?

Basically yes. Brad Stair is the builder and developer of all the Tejas calibers. He loaded some 168 bergers for me that were screamers. 96grs of r22. I sent them back and he sent me some with 95grs. 3750 to 3800 fps was too fast. 96grs worked in Utah but in Casa Grande was too much.

Without sling. The brake makes this beast bark.

    Light Weight Deer Gun?

If and when I want to reach out a little further I break out the Cross Canyon Arms 300 ultramag Tejas. I just got stamped brass so I feel legit. Nightforce one piece ring/base with bubble cap. I had a Nightforce 5-25x56 on it but I hated the weight. The pst 6-24x50 FFP moa has been great. I had been fire forming brass from ultramag stuff. Hopefully can get enough new brass to end that.

    Light Weight Deer Gun?

I have worked in a couple of gun shops over the years and see all types of shooters/hunters. There are those that know everything because its what their dad and grandpa told them or they read it on a website. There are some that have a general idea of what they want but are wanting to get the advice from some other shooters, that have already spent their way into what they now shoot. They do not want to reinvent the wheel. We also get some legitimate long range shooter/snipers. I worked with a guy that was the Commandant of the Army Sniper School. He was a pretty good reference. I like the rule of thumb, "if you dont have anything nice to say, at least don't be a douche."

Nimrod was the hunter. I believe he asked about equipment, not what is required.

    Light Weight Deer Gun?

Before you spend a bunch of $ on a lightweight shoulder breaker, see if one of your buddies has one you can try out. Many a good shooter has been ruined by a flinch. 4 other things I learned. First thing: A fluted steel barrel stays laminated for a long, long time. My Christensen 300Ultramag barrel came unlaminated. They replaced it, but it made me think longer term. Second thing: cheap rings are light, but they wont always hold up to the abuse a lightweight rifle throws at them. Third thing:optics- you can not afford cheap optics. More magnification isn't always better. I am still a fan of the Leupold VX3 LR 6.5-20x50 side focus scopes. Good eye relief, lightweight compared to many others, and really good glass and proven to be reliable. They have the Varmint Reticle if you want BDC, however learn to use the turret. Dial in ballistic yardage. Forth thing: Get it threaded and spend the $ on a suppressor. Takes away as much recoil as a brake, but without making yours and others around you, ear drums bleed. My rifles I have suppressed shoot better groups now also. It could be that I don't jump like a scared kid anymore, but I think it changes the harmonics enough to tame it.

Sorel Maverick Cold Weather Hunting Boots Size 16

I have been looking at getting a toy hauler. These would make for a nice matched setup at camp.

    Light Weight Deer Gun?

Look at the Tikka t3 superlite. 7mm mag.
  23. you could find a single shot 20 or 12 for around 150 or less. That would be a good start. H&R Topper or an old Iver Johnson single shot would be great.
