2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4dr
cactusjack replied to GhostTracker180's topic in Classified Ads
Sweet rig. The only part that worries me is it has never been off road and no custom pin stripes. Good luck on the sale. -
As a veteran I am glad to see and feel all the gratitude that is being heaped upon us. I wish my fellow Vietnam Vets would have had a better reception, they got the shaft. The other thing that makes it where I refuse to stand a D-back or any other function where they salute Veterans is, (1) those that should get the praise normally cant stand and (2) they might have been paid by the Army to push the product. Im glad McCain and Flake are as mad about that as I am. The 8million+ should have gone towards fixing the VA. When the Army offered, the NFL should have said, "Thank you, we will do it, however we will not take any money for doing it". Dirtbags!

100gr but I love the 85gr Sierra Gamekings. I bought some loaded from Les Baer to try out. It was loaded by Black Hills. Will try to reproduce it.
-
I have heard good things about it. I'm not in the market because I have a 6x45. It looks like a lot of guys base their initial load off of the 6x45.

I bought a Limousine X Blulingo cross a couple of years ago. Best beef I have ever eaten. That calf of hers is a brute! If the sale falls through, I'm interested.
-
Might just sell a kidney and get the 12s and keep the 10s.
-
If it falls through, I'm down for seconds.

Once I get the bug I get rid of it. I can't stand clutter to long. You should offer classes! Teach me, oh Wise One!

I forgot to post it earlier. Sorry. I will post the next one earlier

I know it's last minute notice, however if you want to shoot suppressed weapons today head out to Cowtown Range in Peoria. From 10 until 3. Silencerco is providing the weapons and ammo. Did I mention it's free? It is free.

The Tikka t3lite in 300win mag was awesome

Bear Creek golf course. Chandler Heights between McQueen and AZ Ave. Really well fed ones from cats and ankle biters from the surrounding developments.

I will still send them some of my money, that is correct. However, I will now split it with other states.

As a consumer/customer I have never felt so taken advantage of, with no recourse. After I read the good news from the meeting I went ahead and bought some of the gear I was looking at buying. Calls, broadheads, recovery gear and nocks. About 400 in extra crap. Then the other shoe fell. "I'm sorry we made a mistake, however there is nothing we can or will do at this point.", is the answer I got. I take all the risk, I make a mistake, I lose. They make a mistake,I pay. Buyer beware is all I can say. Montana, Colorado and Idaho are looking better and better to me.

I just spoke with the director of the game branch, the decision was made to not allow 7 tag holders hunt because 14 archery tag holders with a hunt the same week who could go inside the limited area still got to hunt. They made a mistake. Oops,oh well. Still mad over here.
-
Yes. They allowed the limited area to be hunted. 7 hunters not allowed. Talking with game and fish, mine not being rescheduled was ammisunderstanding.

How light is the system? How much is it? Is the mount part adaptable to change to a picatinny rail section? (I use the Larue LT666 mounting plate)

Lock tight for scope mounts?
cactusjack replied to More D's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
get them as tight as you possibly can, I suggest a 3 ft breaker bar, then use your mig welder and tack them in place. Those bad boys will never come loose. -

I was at a local gun shop and a buddy I know from there showed me the pictures a whitetail a buddy of his shot. I told him I had already seen them. Then pulled up this thread. Freaky small world. Nice shooting btw -
Where do you practice your long range shooting?
cactusjack replied to fisher_hunt's topic in Long Range Shooting
I practice on Xbox. Modern warfare is legit! -
I posted a picture of Abigail the huntress princess and the deer she shot. As awesome as that was, it was far from being the highlight of this past weekend. I was ableto hunt with my oldest 4 kids. We hiked, glassed, hiked and glassed. Saturday evening my 12yo daughter missed a good forkie at 200 yards. The adrenaline was pumping. She was jacked and sent it about 2 inches over its back. Exciting stuff. I invested in optics and tripods. We were all glassing and finding deer. The kids would get all excited when they would be the one to locate deer. No boredom complaints. The best part of the entire hunt was watching them work together and get excited for each other, and help each other when one struggled. We had allergies, migraines, bug bites and sun burns, yet the best time I've ever had. I can't wait for spring javelina. Gonna do it all over again.

We hiked and glassed Unit 33 and at dusk we got a 2xnub at 150 yards. She found it in the scope and the question "should I light him up?", surprised me. I told her Light him up. So she did. He flinched and hunched up and ran off. I thought he was hit back further then he was. We went to the spot where he was hit and there was a chunk of lung. I heard a gasp and then nothing. He only made it about 20 yards and expired. A 168gr Silver ballistic tip out of my suppressed 308 did the trick. I'm more proud and pleased then you could imagine.

I should have stated the blue dress is her Halloween costume.

I forgot to mention she drives my 88 Land Cruiser with a big Coueswhitetail.com sticker on the back.
