Primers might not be the culprit, however id try some from a different lot to rule them out.

Id try a different primer.

Word of advice on RL22, it is very temperature sensitive. My 300ultramag tejas likes 96gr when its below 50 degrees. Pushes a 168gr berger about 3650fps. However when it was 100 deg in casa grande 3820 with primers buldging and bolt sticking was a little scary.

Remington Model Seven modification

Here are some photos. I will fix the butt pad. Probably go with a grind to fit. -
I bought a synthetic stock yesterday from a fellow forum member. I cut about 1 1/4 off the stock and reattached the buttpad. It was to long for my kids. I need to grind it to fit or go with another thin pad. I drilled the forearm and attached a segment of picitinny rail to mount it on my tripod. It is a 308 that I threaded for a suppressor. I shoot it with a Silencerco Harvester, that weighs 10oz. I put a Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10x32 ffp on it. I will post pictures soon.

Your 357mag is plenty. Get some buffalo bore ammo 180gr hard cast. Those will do what you are looking for. I carry a glock 29 10mm with them in it. Nasty stuff. -

The location will be in Maricopa off of HWY 238 and 83rd Ave (head south on 83rd ave until the road forks, follow the left side until you see the location (you can't miss it). Calibers will be from .22 through .50bmg and there will be suppressor options for all! If you are interested in learning about suppressors for hunting, this is a great place to get all the info and see them in action. There is a Facebook page link, I will post it, but if it violates any rules, delete it upon request. https://www.facebook.com/events/831444356877240/ -

an update on the shoot. I will have 2 Ar-15s with Tac-con 3MR triggers in them. One in a Double Diamond 9mm and one in a PWS Diablo 223 wylde. Looks like US Optics will be there and so will Smith Enterprises. Mr Target will be bringing steel reactive targets out also. It should be fun. Kinda a try before you consider buying sort of event. -
Btw. Winchester 88s are awesome. I love my 308 and my sako finwolf 243. Respect the lever!

My 26yard dowel rod only needed an anti gravity device attached to work too.
-
You can buy a 26 yard dowel rod, or stop in at most shops. At the shop I work in, we have one. We are in ahwatukee.

Merchant Firearms in Ahwatukee. 48th St and Chandler Blvd in Phoenix. It is a conjugual visit day/demo. When you buy a NFA item it sits in NFA jail until the stamp arrives. It doesn't cost anything to show up and if you want to shoot a rifle, I believe there will be ammo for sale to try it out. I have quit being the ammo source for all that want to try out my cans. Gets too pricey. Some of my rifles I have threaded to shoot suppressed are, Tikka T3 Lite 300WSM Browning Abolt 308 Rem 600 243 (before you all freak out, it was def a shooter) Ones I bought threaded Rem 700 AAC/SD 308 AR15 556 AR15 556 AR15 6x45 AR10 243 AR10 308 Lots of rimfires.
