Sweet trailer! Do you have any idea what the GVW is? Seeing if my Geo Tracker will tow it.
-
It is a tough one. Renting a range on saturday isnt an option. Friday morning on the other hand is an option.
-
Again, the demo shoot is this friday. I haven't been able to go shoot long distance. Family stuff seems to be more important, or at least the War Department tells me it is. Still hope to get to shoot soon.

Put together my own quick detach tripod plate
cactusjack replied to cactusjack's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Finished attaching rail to the Manners stock for my Tikka. Have one for my Savage and an old Rem 600. Will post when those are built. Thought I'd see which one has better contrast. -
Put together my own quick detach tripod plate
cactusjack posted a topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I know there are many ways to attach a rifle to a tripod, but I couldn't find one that didn't have to always be on the rifle that worked with the Manfrotto 501/701 heads. I took a quick detach mount that is used to put an ACOG onto a Picatinny rail and inverted it and attached it to the plate. Works great. I can switch it without tools between anything that i have with a rail on the bottom. -
That is awful. Put a list together, we can all watch for items. Where are you located.

What hunt do you have? You might get some "new buddies" to help you get going.
-
be sure and use a holster, I hear those things go for the head shot! too much?
-
There was a 308 on back page.

That is just nuts! Or close to nuts. Lets stay calm and not lose our heads over this revelation. Free bump to the top.

I have the side view one, when is your hunt? I have a Nov 8 hunt. If there isnt a conflict you can use it. -
I stand corrected, The professional hunters have spoken. There are not any cons to the Loc Jaw, it is a perfect system, we should all have one on every rifle we own. Case closed.

I will be hunting with my son and 3 other boys in 33 during the early hunt. We hunt 33 quite a bit. Will you have time to scout before the hunt?

A suppressor/class 3 dealer is having a shoot at Usery on Friday the 16th. Starts at 7 ends at 12. There will be lots of stuff to see and shoot. There is a $10 range fee for the use of the range and for the RSO. (range security officer) I hope to be there with many of my toys. The 10 doesn't go towards ammo, so if you shoot someone else's rifle/pistol please be courteous, offer to or give them some $ to replace those rounds. Here is a link to the shoot. http://hosted.verticalresponse.com/1045077/6f4e71c463/521463923/675d9213b0/

Suppressors allowed for hunting in Az
cactusjack replied to cactusjack's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
who has 22 suppressors also. I bought 1, a SWR Spectre ll, shot it and bought another. One is still in jail. I want one on each 22 I have threaded. Short 2 still. -
Jan Brewer signed HB 2728 last year allowing AZ hunters to hunt with suppressors legally. I jumped and have a couple ready to go for this fall for me and my kids/nephew. I have heard all the arguments against it, which are mainly questions of ethics, but in my opinion the benefits of shooting suppressed make it worth the $ and pain dealing with the ATF. Here is my son shooting my 308 suppressed. 168gn Match Ammo 20in barrel. http://s1355.photobucket.com/user/sdking35/media/VID_20130410_155401_374_zps983b51ef.mp4.html

Lets go shoot em! How much POI shift have you noticed without the can on? I have a SWR Specwar 762 and a Specwar 556 in jail now. Waiting and waiting. Both are quick detatch and the 762 is rated for RUM. My screw on 762 is rated for 300 Win. Thinking of threading my Tikka, but it shoots too good. Might just buy another 300 WSM and cut it down to 20in and thread it. Not having to wear ears is awesome. Rc. I will send you a PM. But yes, yes, no, yes. -

Mine is a htg predator. It is titanium. Htg dent out of businesses after I bought mine. It wasn't related to the product. The owner had Federal problems with another company he owned. Black rain ord bought them and will start back up. There are many other brands. I bought another 308 can that can go up to 300 ultra mag. Recoil is minimal. Come shoot it with me -

Shot my 308 with the suppressor yesterday and at 100 yards had 4 rounds a dime could cover. Not too shabby. My son will use it on his deer and my nephew if he draws a left over tag. Now to get turrets built. -

Need help or advise!? Looking for new scope
cactusjack replied to kyle44k's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
depends on your budget. Leupold VXlll are tough to beat for the price. I have Mark 4s but they are heavier. I have and like Vortex, Swarovski, Zeiss, old Burris. Nikon makes good stuff too. Nightforce are good but heavy enough to use as a club. I'd stay in the 350+ range. -
Results are up on the phone. My boy got Youth 33 any antlered. I got nothing.
