I have had the VX III 6.5-20x50 on my Coues rifle for a few years and have been very happy with it. Lots of Light and very clear.
-
I thought that looked like a mount from Mark and Kurt. Awesome work as always.

Those are some great bucks and that is one awesome mount. Would love to know who did that.

Bowtech: Allegiance or Tribute?
Hunterdan replied to archeryasu's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I bought the allegiance in 2005. I had shot a lot and was ready for my Bull hunt when a week before the hunt one of my limbs cracked. I freaked out. Bowtech expressed new limbs to the local shop and I had my bow back within the week. I was able to go on the hunt and take a nice Bull. Although I was dissapointed that the limb cracked I was very satisfied with Bowtechs fast response in taking care of my bow and understanding the importance of having a Arizona Bull tag. I do love the bow and love shooting it. It is incredible. My shooting improved dramatically with the bow. I would buy another one. -
W.T.K. I have that same mount. It is a very good looking Mount.

Through a Hunter's Eyes
Hunterdan replied to tjhunt2's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Very good post. I have made notes and records for years of all my hunts. There have been many times I was so glad I did. As years go by it is so easy to forget Road numbers, gate numbers and other details of the hunt. There are a few game animals that I took many years ago before I started making records that I cannot remember exactly what year it was. This is frustrating to me. Thanks for postin tjhunt2. -

Casey, if I should decide to ever put in for one of those stinky little devils here in AZ, and should I actually decide to shoot one, I'll be sure to give you a ring!! I cannot stand even the smell of javies.. I can't think of a time I could even stomach the thought of eating one!! Every single one I've ever taken was GLADLY given by me to the welcoming arms of the local ranch hand population!! And they were just as thankful to receive them as I was to give them!! BTW Jim, they always wanted us to shoot at least one or 2 of those weener sized piggies for their spit roast!! They loved them that size!! Take all the javis that people give you if they come from Denmark meats. Chorizo , Hot pepper sticks and polish sausage.... Mmmm mmmm good. Some of the best meat going. Can't wait for piggy season again. Like Huntncoues said take your Javi meat to Denmark Sausage in Peoria. You will be shocked at how good it is. -
AZGFD Hunt Recommendations
Hunterdan replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Very very well said wetmule!! Thanks Jim for all your time and for asking question to your Deptment about these concerns. For the first time in many years I actually think that the AZGFD might listen to the hunters on this one and change the Archery deer dates. I hope so. I cannot think of one sound reason for anyone involved that would justify the Deer and ELk hunts overlapping. -
Andy, Great story and Pictures. Thanks for postin.

very neat pictures younghunter. keep postin them.

AZGFD proposal for the Kaibab this year. 800 doe permits on the winter range in 12AW. Move early Buck Rifle hunt back to October and increase tags to 900 for increase "oppertunity" and lower hunt success. On 12AE the hunts will be moved earlier as well with 300 Tags. This is a increase of 550 tags for early Buck Hunts. Money! Money! Money! They make me sick!

what does your trophy room contain?
Hunterdan replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
You better find a really good woman..... not only does she need to want to hunt a little, but she also has to like lots of "dead stuff" on the walls..... oh, and she has to like letting you spend more money at the Taxi then she does at shopping.... I'll bet you money that guys like Jim and Scotty have awesome wives, too.... cuz their homes are well decorated with great trophies!! It is truely all about the woman..... Scotty, I must say..... that monkey...... must have dated too many good girls in high school.... made his boys look like that all perminent!!! Ditto what CnS said. Have to have a understanding wife.
