Casey, if I should decide to ever put in for one of those stinky little devils here in AZ, and should I actually decide to shoot one, I'll be sure to give you a ring!! I cannot stand even the smell of javies.. I can't think of a time I could even stomach the thought of eating one!! Every single one I've ever taken was GLADLY given by me to the welcoming arms of the local ranch hand population!! And they were just as thankful to receive them as I was to give them!! BTW Jim, they always wanted us to shoot at least one or 2 of those weener sized piggies for their spit roast!! They loved them that size!! Take all the javis that people give you if they come from Denmark meats. Chorizo , Hot pepper sticks and polish sausage.... Mmmm mmmm good. Some of the best meat going. Can't wait for piggy season again. Like Huntncoues said take your Javi meat to Denmark Sausage in Peoria. You will be shocked at how good it is. -
AZGFD Hunt Recommendations
Hunterdan replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Very very well said wetmule!! Thanks Jim for all your time and for asking question to your Deptment about these concerns. For the first time in many years I actually think that the AZGFD might listen to the hunters on this one and change the Archery deer dates. I hope so. I cannot think of one sound reason for anyone involved that would justify the Deer and ELk hunts overlapping. -
Andy, Great story and Pictures. Thanks for postin.

very neat pictures younghunter. keep postin them.

AZGFD proposal for the Kaibab this year. 800 doe permits on the winter range in 12AW. Move early Buck Rifle hunt back to October and increase tags to 900 for increase "oppertunity" and lower hunt success. On 12AE the hunts will be moved earlier as well with 300 Tags. This is a increase of 550 tags for early Buck Hunts. Money! Money! Money! They make me sick!

what does your trophy room contain?

You better find a really good woman..... not only does she need to want to hunt a little, but she also has to like lots of "dead stuff" on the walls..... oh, and she has to like letting you spend more money at the Taxi then she does at shopping.... I'll bet you money that guys like Jim and Scotty have awesome wives, too.... cuz their homes are well decorated with great trophies!! It is truely all about the woman..... Scotty, I must say..... that monkey...... must have dated too many good girls in high school.... made his boys look like that all perminent!!! Ditto what CnS said. Have to have a understanding wife. -

Here are 2 more. I am very proud of this Bull because I spent several days scouting over 2 months before the hunt in a unit I had never hunted before and hunted long and hard during the hunt. On the 11 morning of the 2005 hunt I shot him. He was not the biggest Bull I seen But I was excited that it all payed off. 320 P&Y. Also this is a Arizona Bear 1998. My biggest Bear to date. -

This is a cool Thread! I have several Favorite Trophys. Here are some that are at the top. Nov. 2006 Fullfilled a dream to take a B&C Coues Buck. I will have it officially scored when it gets back from the taxidermist but it is right at B&C. 1998 Archery Bull. 373 Gross P&Y. My Picture Quality skills were poor in those days. -
Just now getting around to posting this. This is my Daughter Jennifers first hunt in Feb. She made a great shot and dropped this pig. This was about as excited as I have ever seen her.
