Well done on a great buck.

Goldtip 7595 with a 100gr Grave Digger out my Elite works well.

$1700 is two birds fully outfitted in cabins for 4 days. If you ever get the chance I highly recommend it. I promise you will never hunt a place with more birds. Also you can shoot a bear for $500.

Congrats on a great buck.

This sight is basically new. My dad had it on his bow for less than a month and the pins were just too small for him. Below is a link to the specifications on the sight. $150.00 Link: http://archerxtreme.com/products/item/carbon-carnivore/ Brian 602-509-3729 (text me if your interested)

Looks like the Auction or Raffle Tag Hunter Tagged Out
azcouesfanatic replied to Condor's topic in Bighorn Sheep Hunting
That is he auction hunter for the 2014-2015 season. It was killed in 6A and it is a battler of a ram. Congrats to those involved. It is not Fletchers ram. -
Just remember you probably only have one chance to draw a rifle tag. I am all for the archery hunt but if you have lots of points its a hard decision. I think if you are at or near 15 points and you want a big goat then wait it out until you draw a rifle tag but if you have the time and the means go for it with a bow. Good Luck.

Flatlander, you could take both species of desert sheep if you drew, won the raffle, or won the auction. You can only harvest one desert sheep through the draw the raffle and auction do not apply to the once and a lifetime rule. The raffle tag only allows you to hunt the northern units which are predominately inhabited by the nelsoni subspecies. Bill thanks for the information. Brian

I have been very blessed and I am thankful for havin the opportunities that I have had. Although some don't always like Arizona's draw the one thing that is nice is that every year every person has a chance to draw no matter how many points they have. The hardest part about harvesting most of these animals is drawing the tag. Keep putting in and you luck will come. Apply Apply Apply!!!! Good luck!!

This is a cool thread. I have all 13 big game animals in AZ. Elk, Coues deer, mule deer, desert bighorn, rocky mountain bighorn, antelope, buffalo, javelina, Merriams turkey, Goulds turkey, rio grande turkey, bear, mountain lion. Of the 13 I have harvested 10 with a bow. I have been very fortunate when it comes to the draw. I completed this by the age of 33.

I agree with HUNTAZ this was not one of the better years for antelope and the success on the first archery hunts has been amazing. I am sure there are a couple 80" ers left but not many. I spent 10 days scouting and 6 hunting and I had all of 19A and I knew of 3 over 80. Goof luck to all those muzzy hunters!!!!

Here is the video of my hunt Jcubed.

Here is another great ram. He was my #1 he was harvested by a hunter on the first hunt. Score?

The bottom ram is 176 4/8" net and 179" gross. He is the middle ram in the pictures above. Thats the ram I killed.

Congrats on a great tag. Do your homework and you will be successful. You get out of the hunt what you put in!!!! Trail cams on water as soon as possible will give you an idea of whats around but the bucks will move come the rut but it will get you pumped and tell you what to look for.

If you want the simple fix go buy the current issue of Eastman's Bowhunting Journal there is a very informative article that will help you understand everything. Muledeerarea33, there is no guaranteed sheep tag in Arizona!!!! If you don't have max points currently then you probably never will unless game and fish changes the way they do things. Good Luck to all.

WHAT STATE WOULD YOU PICK FOR A OTC ARCHERY ELK HUNT?
azcouesfanatic replied to AZHUNTER05's topic in Elk Hunting
I would recommend you look into getting a cow tag in AZ on the white mountain apache reservation. Great fun hunt close to home with big bulls bugling. I have hunted Colorado and New Mexico and once you have hunted AZ there is no comparison. I have hunted the white mountain apache reservation and it is a blast with tons of elk and it's reasonable priced and close to home. Good Luck -
There is no 48 hour rule. If you continue to look for it and find it then it is considered a kill but if you give up on it and it is found later by you or someone else then it is a pickup. Congrats on finding it. Brian

21 is a great choice. Deer numbers are not high but there are some big bucks in the area. 6a seems like it has been struggling. I spent 18 days in the unit last year 6 of which were in the middle of december and I saw a total of 6 bucks and 10 deer and I was glassing hard. The country looks great but the deer densities are lowwwww!!!!!!! Not that it matters much but if you have 5 points you are only a few points away from being able to draw the best coues deer units in the state (23, 22, 33). In my opinion you should consider waiting if you do not draw this year. Good Luck Brian
